Vizio 2022 P-Series Quantum X Review (P85QX-J01) | How is this possible?

preview_player
Показать описание
Vizio's P-Series Quantum X promises 3,000 nits peak brightness, 790 zones of local dimming, and is available in an 85-inch model at a price that will only get you a 65-inch TV from competitors like Samsung, LG, and Sony. How is it possible that Vizio can offer specs like that at such a low price? It's been said that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Does Vizio break that paradigm?

Hey everyone! Two things: A. This series is only available in an 85-inch model. B. Vizio told me the panel was totally clean when it was shipped, so the blemish was indeed shipping damage — too bad, as the TV is packed very well. C. (OK, three things!) Thanks for all your comments about your experiences! Now, what are you dying to see next? I have a few TVs on deck!

I've always bought vizio because of value. I get damn good features for a lot less what I pay for the big name brands (Sony and Samsung and LG) and I only have one grip about vizio which is they tend to reboot without warning. I owned 7 of them and I currently have 3. I do own a Sony Bravia (X900F) that's a beast which it better be due to price lol. I just bought the LGC1 because of the reviews especially for the PS5. Obviously I'm getting away from vizio and getting into the expensive brands only because I can afford to. Vizio is a damn good choice for those who want a great TV but cannot afford said expensive brands. I'm still using the vizio p series that I bought 6 years ago and it still holds up. So don't question about a purchase or stress yourself out by trying to figure out how to save a lot of monies to buy the expensive brands when you know you are limited on funds. We all been there or are still there especially with this bs of inflation going on right now. Get a vizio if you are on a budget. Nuff said. It's a damn good brand and very affordable for the hard working 👪. Kids are expensive enough lol. I got 2. I love watching movies and gaming. Vizio made it possible for me to enjoy those when I was living paycheck to paycheck. I'll be donating my unused vizios to certain co workers who are struggling right now weather a single person or a family person, we all deserve to enjoy some shit, especially the ones who work their ass off just to live paycheck to paycheck, I know because that used to be me 😕

My 2015 Vizio M TV was perfect and works flawlessly to this day. I tried to buy a Vizio P Quantum a year or two ago and after having QC issues with the original and then the replacement just went with the Sony X90H.

Vizio is one of those brands that makes great products but really needs to dial in its manufacturing and testing.

Caleb maybe you've addressed this already but when companies send you review units do they pre calibrate them for better results or are you getting the same as if we bought from the store???

I have the last model PQX-65 model and chose it because it was the best bang for your buck tv at the time. Vizio does a great job at picture quality and features for the price, but quality control and processing are their biggest issues. Not that they are necessarily bad, they are just very inconsistent. I got a relatively clean panel and have had a good experience with it so far. My biggest gripe with Vizio is the actual processing and software. I am constantly having to reboot my tv to link with my Vizio soundbar and Xbox One S. It's more of a nuisance than anything, but its present. Overall, if Vizio could better their quality control and put more R&D into their processing, they easily would compete and even outperform the big 3 brands in the same price category.
I am happy to see this new model seems to be an improvement and not just a recycled model, too bad it is only available in 85". Hoping to see how they have improved their OLED model.

I purchased this TV in January last year and it has been great for me. My only problems were with software, TV on/off issues, so I did a full reset and reloaded the software update and the problem was solved. I have a very bright living room where the tv faces a wall of windows and the brightness 🔆 is just what I needed for this location. Great price point for a tv of this quality. I paired it up with a Bose 900 soundbar and subwoofer and I’m very happy with this.

even with all the problems Vizio has I was lucky enough to get a good OLED panel. I haven't had any of the problems some of the other people who bought the TV has had. The TV is almost 15 monrhs old now and still going strong and holding up well especially after about 3 updates it has received since I've owned the TV.

Pre like 2016... Vizio's we're a smart buy. Great bang for your buck and they lasted. I still have my 2015 Vizio and it's still going strong.
Now all im hearing is avoid them cause the die in like a year or two or don't work from the get go.

I hate the new ones are having issues. My first Vizio, their Plasma was awesome and work for over 5 years. Then my 2014 M series still looks great. And it is on 5+ hours per day between my kids, me, and my wife. I am looking to upgrade and thought about a new Vizio because I have loved mine buy time to upgrade from 55". Guess I won't be looking at Vizio, I had thought about their 65" oled and the elevate sound bar to go with it.

Will you please make a video with the EXACT calibration specs and tutorial on the Sony A95K when it comes out please? That’s the TV I’m waiting to get.

Family owns M, E, and D series 50”. Oldest is about 6 years old. All working without any issue. I have heard others have bad experiences, but I must’ve gotten good sets. I’m not a hardcore gamer and mostly use mine for TV, movies, and streaming. Again, no issues at all from any of the models.

I've had my VIZIO P75QX-H1 for about 1.5 yrs. So far it has been flawless. Great picture. Checks all he metrics. This 85" VIZIO is on my short list and is likely my next TV. This review is very positive and with the VIZIO know value equates into another winner from V.

I have both the Vizio P75QX-H1 & P85QX-H1 (loved the 75 so much got the 85 as well). No issues with either like a lot have experienced. Mainly use PS5 Series X and a stand alone 4K Blu-Ray Player. For streaming apps like Netflix and Disney Plus I use the TVs native apps with no issues. I also have a 65" LG CX. Cant go wrong with an OLED but if I had to choose one TV I would go with the 85" PQX. In my experience, it's just that good. Also want to mention I got a steal of a price on the 85" last summer. For about 2 days Sam's club had it on sale for $1999 with 3 year warranty and it sold out in a day then the price went back up to 3K and remained there ever since. We were planning to buy it at 3K anyways and then it went on sale the week before we were going to purchase so we jumped on that. Crazy timing. If anyone has questions I am happy to answer. Can also give comparison opinions with this TV and the the LG CX.

Two of my old Vizio TVs were great and still working like it should. 2012 and 2015. Newest one started rebooting right after warranty expired. 2018 model. Kept reading bad reports about the newer models. My newest TV is LG C1. Although this TV looks great with great specs, I will hold out on buying another Vizio.

Please include a segment in your reviews on how picture quality is affected using a streaming box vs native OS of the TV. Great work.

I have had LG, Samsung, and Vizio (multple Vizio's). Lg and Samsung still going strong. All three vizio's never made it past two years. And even before breaking, they had minor issues come up.
