Thanks, Honey for sponsoring!

We look at the HDR performance of the 2020/2021 Vizio P-Series Quantum X (PQX)- the 75" version (sorry, not the 86"). It's got a peak brightness of 2,800nits with 792 full array local dimming zones, 48Gb/s HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K 120 gaming, and the SmartCast OS is faster than ever. Not bad for $2,000!

"This $3000 TV is going to leave those $400 TCLs in the dust!" I would certainly freaking hope so...

Nah, I went with a 65" Sony X900H yesterday. I simply don't trust Vizio and the Sony has an AWESOME picture out of the box...and just went on sale for $969. To get a 65" LED 4k TV that supports HDMI 2.1 (in a future firmware update, due later this year), 120fps, VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision and even has a next gen ATSC 3.0 tuner AND have all that available under $1000 is simply amazing.

The ethernet ports on modern tvs has urked me for a while, had I realised when I brought my sony, I might have reconsidered. The wifi is faster but not enough, it sometimes chokes on 4K content

These 120hz TV's should all have display port inputs as well as the new HDMI format. It makes no sense to me that they don't.

"This $3000 TV obliterates those $400 budget Tvs!" It would be quite a bad thing if it didn't

When he said "THIS" at the beginning, I've got Doug DeMuro flashback.

"Nothing region locked should be on the remote" lol then none of those services should be on there. Which is not a bad idea imo

Was wondering if the 480p-ish streaming was because of (Widevine?) DRM issues? I know that if Android tablets/phones don't have the right level of DRM, they automatically downgrade the quality to SD for streaming services. With this being an engineering sample, it's quite possible the DRM isn't available yet and a later firmware update could enable it.
