If you must have it cut to remove it, be sure to get it done by a jeweler that does repairs.

"Try using a lubricant like Windex." Ah yes...in a household of married people, they only have Windex as a lubricant for sure.

I struggle with chronic inflammation, my metal rings get stuck all the time. Currently wearing a silicone one (but I miss my pretty ones). We use windex and I usually put a piece of string through it to help me consistently pull. I also twist, I can almost never get it off if I don't twist it.

What happeens when we CANT remove it? Is there any surgery?

I recommend ribbon rather than floss just because if you miss a bunch of pockets with the floss it causes weird circulation in that portion and it's also hard to get the ring over the gaps Eunice

I seen a case so bad that the ring was starting to split, I won't go into detail on the condition of her finger. Gotta love the ER. She's okay.

Note- as soon as you know you are pregnant lose the ring. I was counting the days for my first baby to come for this reason. #2 and #3 I took off the ring. 💍

A girl in my class senior year said that she had to drive her friend to the ER during class (the teacher didn’t notice them leave) they couldn’t take it off, sped over there. The friend was pissed the ring was going to get cut off and since he got dropped off he literally had to wait 2 hours until she could pick him back up

This happened to me with a really pretty ring I got on my birthday. I think I was allergic to some of the metals in the ring and it swelled right around my finger. Was up for like hours trying to get it off until me and my dad just decided to cut it off.
Ring wasn’t expensive, but it sucked that it was broken lmao

Former paramedic - using a wide, flat elastic is better than using floss

Windex really does work for more things then cleaning up your windshield

If I don’t have windex, can I use lube?

Why not use soap or shampoo? To remove

I mean, if it is a gold ring, hot water would be the wiser choice, as it softens the metal. As hot as you can get it without burning.

I work in the lab at a hospital and my wedding ring got stuck towards the end of my pregnancy. They used lubricant and a tourniquet and a lot of force and it finally came off lol but I will say it hurt a lot lol.

That’s why I took mine off the minute I noticed swelling closer to the last trimester
