I had two of the same size instant pot inner pots stuck together. This video gave me the idea to put them in the instant pot and turn on sauté mode. I had to do two cycles but it worked pretty much like the video showed (just less violent when detaching). Thank you for the video! I was about to give up and buy a new pot.

i did this after reading all the comments. I was concerned because there was no water in the bottom pan, the comments said that was not necessary. I thought maybe I should do this outside on the grill ( I really should have) however, I didn't. Well, after about 2 minutes on high (I could see the pan was getting hot as it was smoking. I stood back as instructed (good thing). All of a sudden the pan popped and went flying, it hit the ceiling then back to the floor with a lot of force. My husband was outside and came in to see what happened. I happily old him I separated the pans . In the morning we could see the dent in the ceiling and the chip on the hardwood floor. So be careful but it will work.😁

I have 2 oven-pots: They use a metal funnel and the other day I thought I was baking with one, but it was actually the two funnels stacked. (!!!) Thankfully your method worked even after being stuck together over direct heat. Thank you!

Had two metal cup holders stuck together did it it wasn’t working so I took it off the stove rinsed some cold water so it wouldn’t be so hot and it shot like a rocket thx for the great tutorial
