I mean there's always going to be a new graphics card around the corner. They release them every 2 years. If you're constantly putting off buying a card to wait for price drop or for the next one to come out you will never upgrade.

If you're at 4k max out and even higher percentage of in game render can use a i9-9900k with a 4090, and maybe even a 5090 at 200% Render 4k max out should be fine, time will tell, but higher res higher hz will come out and use more of the gpu and more gpu bound.

yes, I am skipping 4000 series and just hold on to my 3070ti laptop and wait for 5000 series to build the beast of a PC!

good video it all make sence high end gpu need also high end cpu and mby high end 800 $ motherboard aswell still using 5950x 64gb ram and a cheap intel arc 770 16gb i got for 350 $ runs AAA games just fine, skipping 4090 but 5090 next year i might get also my current pc isnt more thant 2 years old so it to early to upgrade now, all this is very true higest end cpu will eavne bottleneck a 4090 so it is waste of money a 4090 together with a 15900k might be great combo

I hear you, but building for the 1st time & got my 4090 fe for net $1125 after cash back, can always sell when the time comes.. If these are really going to double in performance, imagine how expensive a 4K 240hz monitor is going to be, lol. Esp OLED.

4090 checks all the boxes for me: 4K 60 heavy RT & 120 pure raster single player, 240hz locked 1440p high setting multiplayer. LG 42 C2 (got at 1/2 off) & LG 27 OLED monitor (also 1/2 off).

Now, I know I sound like I’m trying to justify my purchases, but just giving context. If at full price & already have 3000 series, definitely wait.

4000 series will struggle or be mediocre in unreal engine 6 which RTX 5000 series with different architecture will be made for next gen graphics, so he is right.

buyed a 3080 at release, that was 800, but with this prices, i most likely buy a PS6 or xbox5 next in a few years

I'll use a 5090 with a 5800X3D at 4K and my limit is 120 FPS on 120Hz!!! I wont even go higher in 10 years! but I will upgrade the GPU EVERY fkn gen!

Also, the 4090 is a 4k gpu. 3090 was more like 1440p. 4k needs less cpu power, so you will be fine with yoyr ryzen 7 or 12th gen i7
