Doing a 13900k RMA right now. Intel has been dragging their feet for over a week. They will replace the processor, but I asked for a full refund because Intel knowingly sold me a defective CPU and I should get a refund instead of another (possibly) defective processor

As for the recent Intel/AMD CPU missteps, I'd like to take a quote from the 1964 movie "Fail Safe":

I've been an Intel user since my first PC which had a 486, but sadly I will be switching to AMD for my next computer and for the foreseeable future. The way Intel has been handling the 13th and 14th gen issues has been appalling, and I have no confidence that Arrow Lake or Bartlett Lake won't be ticking time bombs.

I have a Ryzen 5 5600 and a Radeon RX 7600. I have no need for top of the line, my rig does everything I need.
With the crazy price on High end CPUs and GPUs I think it's important to look at need vs want.

I recently bought an i7 12700KF for my new build. I'm so glad I totally avoided the 13th and 14th gen CPUs. I wasn't even aware of their issues. I couldn't afford the 7800X3D, otherwise I would have bought it (My GPU is an ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti Super).

Lucky me, I guess.

It just kind of sucks that we aren't getting new video cards launched until next year. I plan on getting a Ryzen 9000 platform going really good this year, but that's about it. I'll probably just keep my 7800 XT until 5090 shows up. It works good enough for me at 1440p. Thumbs up!
