Yeah, 100% definitely agree with this video.

More OLED and MiniLED screen options this year is great to see but with no Ryzen 8000HX CPUs yet and other CPUs and GPUs really just refreshes, its definitely tough to otherwise justify buying a 2024 laptop.

#5 - Not many people probably knows about this, but since AMD released FSR the community have already developed an FSR mod which give you basically free fps in your old laptop with old GPUs (like RTX 2000s/3000s, anything below isn't really preferred).

I know this because few months ago I was searching for a new laptop (a replacement to my Legion 5 Pro 3060 that I bought 2 years ago) because games have been increasingly demanding, but thanks to this mod it basically extended the lifespan of my aging laptop for like another year or 2.

FSR3.1 is also coming this year (integrated into some of the newer titles).

what about the new Legion 7i? got new better cooling and screen options. And also at least in the UK (easter sale) price for 2024 model is cheaper then 2023 Legion 7 slim

0:40 AMDs naming scheme seems very misleading, what does x8xx = ryzen 7/9 even mean? Is it ryzen 7, or ryzen 9?

I update my laptop every other GPU generation (~4-5 years). I love my Asus M16 3060 and not looking to update until 50XX or AMD equivalent, so that's at least one more year.
