Boy, what a smart choice by Harris. Didn't even know who he was. WOWSA "I can't wait to debate JD Vance if he can get of his couch" 🤣🤣🤣

Like many folks in Minnesota I am a Scandinavian-American. So I don't see the relationship between Socialism and Capitalism as an either/or choice. I see it as an and/also option. The reason why Scandinavia has such a great economy and why their populations’ rate happiest in the sociological datum. Is because their Socialism compliments their Capitalism and their Capitalism supports their Socialism. American's should stop thinking of these two economic options as an either/or choice. When they could also be a very effective and/also option.💙

Three things for Mr. Kornacki (from a Minnesotan politico)

1. 2018 is a better barometer for where Walz sits in Minnesota. Why? Because in 2022 he had nothing to run on. He dealt with a split legislature throughout his first term. There were a lot of grumblings he was a do-nothing governor. In 2023, he got a Democratic trifecta (by a single vote) and has been signing broadly popular legislation. He has a 55% approval rating now. He didn't have that on election day in 2022. So if you want to look at how well Walz can perform, look at 2018, when he was winning Trump counties.

2. Western Wisconsin is part of the Minnesota media market. They are familiar with Gov. Walz. If you compare 2012 to now, you'll see that those counties are packed with Obama-Trump voters. Many of them can be persuaded back. They've voted for pro-choice, pro-LGBT, pro-gun control politicians in the past. That's not what bothers them. What bothers them is the perception that national Democrats ignore them by running coastal and Ivy League elites. (Not that Republicans aren't that, but they've message to them better lately.) While MN isn't a swing state, WI has razor thin margins. Picking up votes in western WI can be decisive.

3. Retaining the Biden coalition is important. So the fact he performs at the level of Biden or slightly higher is relevant. Even in 2024, there are certain persuadable voters who cannot be reached by a Democratic woman of color from California. They can be reached by a straight white guy from rural MN who's high school football coach and veteran. He LOOKS and TALKS like the voters Kamala needs to reach. And that matters on the ground big time.

Whoever, it doesn’t matter as they are all capable for the position. They are kind hearted people. They always work hard for every American for America for democracy, and for the world.

I wanted Walz for this reason. I was already hesitant on Harris because of her background as a tough prosecutor (tough on crime is fine but tough on single moms struggling was bad).

With this pick, she has shown me she is tough but sensible, progressive but pragmatic, and smart but willing to listen. A true leader.

Walz will shore up the blue wall. Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Philly.

Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada may all hold Blue as well.

My top picks were:
1) Walz
2) Kelly
3) Beshear or Shapiro

Walz is a way better pick than Biden for Obama, which says a lot considering Biden was a W pick. Walz will be a great attack bulldog for Harris without turning independents away. Walz knows how to attack GOP without disenfranchising republican and independent voters.

A patriot, a veteran, and civil servant. W 💙🇺🇸

They’re trying make Walz, a veteran who served for 25 years, became a high school teacher and coach into a West Coast elite? That would be Silicon Valley JD Vance.

Also, Walz served in the house for a decade+ elected in a red rural district, and chaired the VETERAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE before becoming the Governor of Minnesota & chairs the Democratic Governor’s Association. Walz is experienced and will a make a great Vice President.

He has that warren buffet vibe. Down to earth, not flashy, head down and get things done

Lots of folks are tired of chaos, hate, stupidity and creepiness. Walz brings to the table maturity, compassion, and a sense of normality.

Tim Walz? The guy knows how to work for the common man. Voting for this ticket is the best thing I'll ever do in my political participation. Not the doom and gloom coming from the other side. America is back baby! We can be happy again with love for one another. America is back baby!

It is astonishing how quickly the energy has invaded the Dems camp and the droll boringness of the maga's debasing negative campaign is crashing and burning right before our eyes. The difference in the crowds is surprising. Hope is an amazing force. I'm thinking negativity, debasement and retribution won't be selling very well anymore given the choice.
