If we can't have Al Franken in the senate, could we at least get him to write and perform on SNL again?

We all know damn well that if she chose Shapiro, Republicans would be having an antisemitic field day instead

If Harris didnt want to pick Shapiro because he was Jewish, he wouldve never made top 2 ahead of the Pete, Kelly, Cooper etc.

No one cares about the GOP criticism. Let’s get to work and not be distracted. JOY!

The GOP would have criticized whoever was picked, for whatever reason. This isn't even worth talking about.

Nobody talked about "antisemitism" when Bernie Sanders, the most popular Jewish politician in the United States, wasn't nominated for POTUS twice. The whole "antisemitism" thing regarding Josh Shapiro is completely made up.

We loved Al Franken as a senator. It was disgusting how he was treated by the republican party. They saw this good man as a threat!! He's looking great!! 🎉🤗

If GOP is telling us that Harris shouldve picked Shapiro, that means they were hoping Shapiro wouldve been picked.

Just a Norwegian onlooker here, but heck am I liking this Harris/Walz ticket of yours, USA.
The excitement and the energized hope, even belief that things now are going in a good direction, is felt WORLDWIDE.

Don't let us, nor yourselves, down:

Al Franken, my former MN senator, with way more honor than most of the members of today's House of Representatives, half of the Senate, and more than 6 of the SCOTUS, is still alive and blooming!!! He is a national treasure, but I surely miss his valuable voice in Congress. He bowed out at the tail-end of respectable times; his integrity speaks volumes. The lucky part of that event is that Mr Franken is still making headlines, in Minnesota, on air, able to share his strength, dissernment, intelligent truth, and brilliant humor with us, his fellow Minnesotans.
The federal government lost, but Minnesota won, again. We do have excellent Minnesota citizens, always active in politics, always interested
in truth, justice for all, and genuine human dignity and decency. Bravo for having Mr Franken on your program, so the national stage can see
what they lost, after he nobily resigned from the Senate, for admittedly accounting for his gap in judgment, treating someone unfairly, in a less than deserved position. His past, now, seems like nothing when compared with the present list of performers and job-holders in the very
same congress of which he was a part. Greetings and applause to Franken for continuing to spread his viewpoints, opinions and learned
teachings with all of us (especially me), here at home. I hope he continues to enrich our lives with common sense, humor and distinction.

Trump didn’t pick a Jewish running mate either so does that mean we should be saying the same things as they are?

July "Kamala is nothing more than a DEI hire"
August "Why didn't she pick the Jew ?!?!"

i wish kamala would run an ad or do an snl skit "the day i turned black" ... "i remember it well. i woke up one morning & something was different. in shock, i looked down at my own hand and said 'oh dear lord, i think i'm black'"

We were so stupid to kick him out of office just for joking around.

Always remember that, to anyone situated on the extreme right, EVERYONE ELSE looks like they are "on the left" of them--even those in the middle are on the right's "left".

Lee Zeldin (R) asks Al Franken to comment on the fact that that they didn't mention Israel or antisemitism during the rally.

They also didn't expound at length about their favorite pizza toppings, movies, or vacation spots. Or about sharks and batteries and Hannibal Lecter. None of these had any relevance to the event.

Why bring up someone's heritage or color, if you are an American citizen, YOU ARE AMERICAN, FULL STOP!

Pretty obvious they were hoping for Shapiro because they had some idea about handling him on the ticket. Whereas, they clearly have no idea how to handle Tim Walz on the ticket or they wouldn’t be bothering to talk about Shapiro so much.

the fact that the GOP is furious that harris picked walz is all the confirmation i need that it was the right decision. they know shapiro would have poisoned the ticket, that's why they wanted him.

I still can't forgive Sen. Gillibrand for leading the ouster of Sen. Franken. He was an excellent Senator and served MN w/ honor and dignity.
