Shapiro would 'energize base' and 'reach across party lines' if picked as Harris's VP

Why does MSNBC never mention that Walz has a unique qualification that Harris needs and none of the other top candidates have, strong relationships in the House from his 12 years as a House member from January, 2007 to January, 2019?

I'm tired of the media narrative that Shapiro would be better, he has so much baggage that it could hurt Harris's momentum she has right now, I will still vote for Harris if Shapiro is picked but that's it, where if she picked Walz I would be excited to help push the word out more and more. Walz has a record that shows he is fighting for the American people Shapiro is just another ambitious politician. But media wants us to believe other wise.

Shapiro might be helpful but he has a lot of baggage. Walz is a good communicator, likable, he goes after Republicans effectively, and he’s done a lot for his state as far as policy goes. He would continue bringing the left and center left together like what what happened in France and would definitely bring in swing voters.

I don’t think the appeal for walz is that he will draw more voters from those areas in a traditional race but he lends additional credibility to the ticket and give permission to people who dislike trump. The “double haters” would go for a Harris/walz ticket.

Listen to the groundswell of voices stating that they dislike Shapiro's policies. I would prefer anyone other than Shapiro. He will drag Harris to the possibility of a very real defeat because the enthusiasm for Harris could be destroyed by having Shapiro on the ticket. The young voters and most Muslims and anyone who is against the US backing the Israeli war machine in Palestine and Gaza will not be happy and may just stay home. Shapiro may not be that popular in Pennsylvania now with his stand on Israel.

I'm a swing state voter - and Shapiro would only dampen my enthusiasm for the ticket. The man has too much baggage (scandals, problematic positions, etc). Walz is hands down the best option.

She should pick Walz. He's smart, he's quick, he's on-brand, he connects with the average American, and he's someone I trust to step in as president if needed. He would also wipe the floor with Vance in a debate.
