I wish I heard this stuff a couple of years ago. Christianity used to be stressful and burdensome, especially hearing preachers constantly telling me to "crucify my flesh, lay myself on the alter, deny self, die, allow myself to get crushed, offer a sacrifice to God, etc." I basically tried to do all of these things without realizing that it's God who enables us to live out this lifestyle.

That first point is exactly what God taught me last weekend. But the words I got for it were "when our focus is not on him, we are vulnerable to focus on the wrong things." This came after two weeks of traveling and being very busy. I was not focusing on him and withdrawing with him. I then fell into sin and porn. Whoever reads this, please pray for me. I long to truly know what it is like to walk in victory and freedom over lust.
