if the field doesnt show up, then your virtual machine already mounted the "CD" containing the guest addition.
In this case, go to the start menu and then computer, where your harddrives are. In the CD drive there will be the guest addition cd.

Every video i watch people have "Install Guest Additions" i don't have that it says "Insert guest additions CD Image... Host D" iv tried different things and nothing is working and the instructions on the Oracle page do not answer my questions

great, but you should also mention that you should have the downloaded on your host operationg system. you can do that with sudo sudo apt-get install on linux and the file is saved on /usr/share/virtualbox/

I cant find any options for my win xp emulation...I just get a windows xp window with no additional Machine, Devices and Help, like you do...what did I do wrong? Tx
