WHO AM I:
My name is Charlie and I am disabled. I live with chronic illness, I have a severe form of Psoriatic Arthritis and its crap! I am in pain all the time and always battling fatigue. BUT, I will not let it win. I love to learn and to laugh (even though it hurts my arthritic rib cage LOL). You will often see Ollie (she) my black Labrador. She is currently my trainee assistance dog! We are together, literally ALL the time.

My pip renewal was returned in October last year. Migrated from indefinite DLA years ago. Award was extended due to covid. Current award was to run out in August. Three days before got letter extending for a year and stating it could be extended again next August. Hard as it is - never trouble trouble - until trouble troubles you. Take care folks

I'm sending off my pip application tomorrow.
I have autism and I find it soo hard to articulate my issues in writing but on phone when I have notes it's easier. So I know I'm in for a fight on the communication questions.

Thanks Charlie, mine is till 2026, but I know come 2025 I will start getting anxious. Im sure it all depends on te interviewer, in my case it has as I have always fought back & had my Pip reinstated, proving it was down to the interviewer not my conditions.

I've never been awarded more than a year at a time and I've been on pip enhanced since 2019. I hate having to go through the trauma of review.

Thankyou Charlie, its because of your help in your videos that i finally got PIP, after 5 years of trying, i can hardly walk after two hip opperations, and one went wrong, and ive just had another op in jan for something else, that left me very weak indeed, , so thankyou for your help, if i find myslef stranded and cant walk anymore, i can atleast get a cab until i find the right scooter that wont suddently crap out on me and leave me in more difficulty - which i m terrified about, , which is why i prefer a cab if im stuck at least iknow i WILL GET FROM A TO B X THANKYOU FOR YOUR HONEST HELP X m

If sending any paperwork into the DWP pay the extra few quid for recorded delivery and the letter to be signed for, now you probably won't get a signature but least you will have confirmation of delivery and that important date and time

I have my PIP up for review. Do you know how much paperwork they will need? Will I need to send bank statements? When I applied 10 years ago, I never had to declare any other benefit etc. It was all separate. I was on enhanced rate but the only change since is I’m on low capability due to a recent, medical issue.

I was recently awarded PIP for 7 years which takes me up to state pension age . I dread having to be reassessed all over again, I wish we could hear something definite, at least we would know where we are then … best wishes Charlie x

I'm actually panicking over all of this I claim pip and had to send my review form back in July I haven't heard anything back yet and that's making my anxiety worse

My pip was due in Feb this year, I received the reclaim form on 28/07/23 which was dated 22/07/23 so I already lost 1 week of the 4 weeks time limit to send it off. I sent it on 07/08 only to find my pip was stopped and received letter saying I hadn’t returned it in time. I phoned them and after confirming they had now received it they restarted payments. Nothing happened until about a week before my pip ran out in Feb I got letter saying it had been extended by a year due to delays in getting my assessment done. So it is now due to be reviewed in Feb 25 but as yet I’ve heard nothing this year. This is just a warning that the post service is causing major issues and this will only get worse if they change their second class delivery policy. Thanks Charlie for all u r doing for us.

Thank you for this video...I'm just in the process of filling in my claim form...with a lot of help from your videos, so I notice any mention of PIP in the press at the moment...when I read more, it looked as if it really said nothing, so I'm glad to hear I wasn't missing anything...if anything, this initiative to speed things up is good news! I have psoriatic arthritis too, & it's been such a gradual thing, over so many years, that if I hadn't watched your videos, I would have genuinely missed so many of the weird little 'hacks' etc I have for things that I just wouldn't have considered! It’s up to the tits employed by these corrupt organisations to pass my disabilities for another x3 years . And leave me the fok alone with my pain and addled brain.
My original form was filled out and written candidly in great depth. Page after blasted page of tiny capital letters. A lot of information for them to digest.
Only had to go to court once and also a phone assessment which I apparently failed . I was straight on the phone Monday morning and destroyed the assessor. Got my back payment straight away and reinstated to my current Pip levels.
I’m too scared to rock the boat with my new ailments as I just cannot cope with another stressful assessment and my payments stopped.
