People suffering from depression or anxiety could lose access to Personal Independence Payments (PIP) as part of UK Government welfare reform plans to be outlined in a new online consultation due to be published on April 29.

Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Mel Stride told The Times that the Green Paper will include proposals to stop regular payments for a range of 'less severe' mental health issues and instead provide “meaningful support” such as Talking Therapies and social care packages.

Take benefits away from those in need whilst, at the same time, forking out billions to send immigrants on holiday to Rwanda. Uhuh

I fear that many members of our armed forces fighting post traumatic stress will be labelled as unfit therefore not entitled.

Unbelievable! How low can a government go? Letting all and sundry into our country without any proof of identification and now stopping our most vulnerable from being able to have a tiny piece of quality to life? Absolutely disgusting.

Attack the most vulnerable in society!
Strange how there is never any talk about the £19 billion in benefits that go UNCLAIMED every year.

If a Doctor Says. You are Unfit For Work. Then MPs Have no Right to Challenge That. Are they Doctors??

My mother's neighbour committed suicide because he failed an assessment to continue getting his disability benefit. It is really difficult getting a fair assessment and I myself invariably usually failed assessments only to have the judgements overturned about 6 months later. Most people on benefits cannot last 6 months to appeal as was the case with my mother's neighbour. These cruel tories want to make it even more difficult! They are rotten to the core

General ups and downs of life. These people really are clueless when it comes to mental health. Hospital admissions will start to peak very sharply.

What do you think is going on in the mind of a worker. He works like a fool for a year and his only joy at the end of the Year is that he didn't get Homeless.😢

My partner had a heart attack 9 weeks ago lucky Papworth hospital saved his life but it has taken a massive toll on his mental health, he went to fit, working full time and no medication to seriously unwell and on medication for life and unable to work a full week, he went back to work after 4 week's despite the fact that papworth have advised he leave his job in a freezer, why, because he can't survive without literally working himself to death this country is not the England I was born in

Taking mentally unwell people out of their safety zone will create problems. The prison system is already full.
It costs approximately £48, 000 per year to keep a prisoner in prison.
It costs approximately £12, 000 per year to keep a mentally unwell person on benefits.

The HUGE majority of benefits money goes to people IN WORK. Which means that our taxes are going to subsidise the businesses of tight bastards who also avoid paying their own fair share of tax!

I know an autistic couple, the ladt time they had a pip re assessment she cut herself and he tried to hang himself as they couldnt handle the uncertainty and anxiety. The tax payer then had to pay for GP intervention and acute mental healthcare. Who will protect these genuine and vulnerable people?
