WHO AM I:
My name is Charlie and I am disabled. I live with chronic illness, I have a severe form of Psoriatic Arthritis and its crap! I am in pain all the time and always battling fatigue. BUT, I will not let it win. I love to learn and to laugh (even though it hurts my arthritic rib cage LOL). You will often see Ollie (she) my black Labrador. She is currently my trainee assistance dog! We are together, literally ALL the time.

- tilted seat so easy to stand from

Every single one of their expenses claims are a benefit. They dare put in a heating claim for heating their second home, paid for by us, whilst thieving the very same from the vunerable. Disgusting scumbags. Each and every one of them.

No one chooses to be ill or disabled, most disabled people would love the independence a job would give. Unfortunately, many employers are reluctant to give those jobs to disabled people leaving many of us in a benefit reliant state. The government need to encourage employers to employ more disabled people and give those disabled people more support.

So you'd need vouchers that can be redeemed everywhere and accepted by all services. Don't we akready have that. Commonly known as cash.

I am 72, I get the impression from An NHS CONSULTANT that I am not important enough to have some treatment. It seems that there is an age discrimination in place now.

What caught my eye is them saying they are hiring Managers at the Jobcentre's to decide on your PIP claim. We are now looking at unqualified people making calls on a persons PIP claim and this is a road to disaster and suffering for many

Every day I am in chronic pain . I never know how I will get through the day .
I am terrified by this Govt .
I am saving Meds in case it just gets way too much . The way I feel I would rather not be here anyway.
My job was stolen by my disease .
I need the heating on but can’t do it now .
I am moving back into one room again for the winter . It’s degrading and confusing why someone would want to hurt people like this .

Just been granted my PIP review till September 2027 after waiting a year for a reply, so happy for now!! 🙂
Vouchers would be pretty useless to most on PIP that do not require disability/mobility equipment.
I have degenerative spinal and leg issues but can still walk unaided, at the worst a walking stick on a bad day.
Also sleep apnoea, CPAP machine in bed at night, but can fall asleep during the day several times.
What good will vouchers be for my issues?
Bunch of idiots and not thought out!!

Be careful what news sources we look at too. It is best to just stick to Benefits and Work, Disability News Service, Gov Uk News, Reddit DWP Help and Reddit Benefits advice. The rag newspapers all misconstrue what is actually being said.

How can there possibly be fraudsters who claim PIP when they require you to fill out a booklet and check with your doctor? Everything is double checked. If people are on PIP just leave them on it, the money they could claw back is minimal…..but yet they always come after benefits as if they could get lots of money when actually going to the top and holding billionaires accountable for their taxes could raise more revenue than pushing more people into poverty. The state should look after people, its a failure of the state.

Due to arthritis, RA I cannot cut my toenails. I pay a lovely lady £20 every 6 weeks and she comes to my home. This is not a pedicure or reflexology. She is caring for my feet, as I also have an ingrowing toenail . Vouchers will not be of use to the genuine people who are claiming PIP and will be detrimental to their lives.

I do wonder who will be responsible for the many suicides this will cause, because so many people struggle daily as it is. It’s another not very well thought out knee jerk reaction.
