I made this WITHOUT a kitchen 👀

ONE POT RICE 🍚 Veganuary Nr. 23🌱

You can cook this dish even without a proper kitchen!😜
RECIPE (4 servings, 25min prep time):
-1 cup of rice (optionally washed a few times)
-1 cup water
-3 Tbsp soy sauce
-1 Tbsp ketchup
-1/2 Tbsp oil
-1 Tbsp sweetener of your choice
-2 cloves garlic, chopped
-a thumbsize piece of ginger, chopped
-1/2 Tsp chili
Give it a stir.
-1 carrot
-1/2 red pepper
-4 mushrooms
-80g smoked tofu (or regular tofu)
-a handful of peas
Put the lid on and bring to a boil.
Let it simmer 20mins on low heat.
Enjoy like this or serve in lettuce wraps with some lime juice.

Man kann dieses Gericht auch ohne richtige Küche zubereiten!😜
REZEPT (4 Portionen, 25 Minuten Zubereitungszeit):
-1 Tasse Reis (optional ein paar Mal gewaschen)
-1 Tasse Wasser
-3 EL Sojasauce
-1 EL Ketchup
-1/2 EL Öl
-1 EL Süße deiner
-2 Knoblauchzehen, gehackt
- ein daumengroßes Stück Ingwer, gehackt
-1/2 TL Chili
Einmal umrühren
-1 Karotte
-1/2 rote Paprika
-4 Pilze
-80g Räuchertofu (oder normaler Tofu)
-eine Handvoll Erbsen
Deckel drauflegen und zum Kochen bringen.
Bei niedriger Hitze 20 Minuten köcheln lassen.
So genießen oder in Salat-Wraps mit etwas Limette servieren.

We call this 'Khichuri' in Bangladesh we just add...lentils like..1cup of rice and half a cup of lentils and other spices and some veggies and it tastes rly good 👌

As an Asian I can’t forget that you didn’t wash the rice before adding in pot 😡😫 Please wash rice before cooking 😒

Random tip from some of my friends who are Chinese and Japanese: add soy sauce at the end, instead of simmering for 20 minutes. This gives better flavour. If you can find dark soy sauce, that will be good for simmering, says my Chinese friend!

Just a tip to make it even more tasty.. instead of pouring water at the start, put the oil in first followed by ginger garlic and the veggies. Saute them for a few mins then add rice and saute again for a few mins adding in all the spices and sauces. Then add water and cook as needed. The flavour will be much better.
