And after watching their video, I thought it would be really remiss of me to not create a follow-up video where I could both thank them for the opportunity and respond to the engineer's answers!

So, here you guys go! I hope you all enjoy!

And here are all those referencing links I promised -

I love how professional you handled this and explained your love for your Jeep! Keep the hard work up!

You have absolutely no reason to question your expertise as a "Jeeper" No need to make any excuses in your experience that has exposed design shortcoming.
You two are the real deal in my opinion and more than qualified to make observations and criticisms.
Actually the 'engineer' should praise your real world observations and be thankful for your R & D which exposed weaknesses in design.
His 'bean counter" middle of the road excuses left much to be desired. Nobody buys a Jeep to drive in the middle of the road. Middle of a gully maybe.

I sincerely thank you for sharing your experience.
I for one totally appreciated your video.

Its awesome that the jeep channels are giving props to each other. TFL may do more than just jeeps but the fact that they took the list of possible improvements to Jeep was cool.

I love that you guys didn't just back down and accept that all the 'answers' in the other video as valid answers; but where there were valid points you digressed. You put together a very calm and collected rebuttal that no one can say is uncalled for or inappropriate. Like you said, there's always room for improvement and there is nothing wrong with mentioning where there is room for improvement.

I can see why Kevin is constantly smiling.

Anyone who has watched anything you guys have done know you love the Jeep, in fact you guys are providing a great service for others to get a feel for how far a rubicon can go at various light mod levels. great stuff.

Well Done Kiddos, Glad to see you got back safe. You probably need a vacation now. LOL. Nice response and explanation. Thanks for the Shout out. Im currently working on a video about the fan blade and design for a more indepth comparison of the 2.0 and 3.6.

First - Gratz for having a channel that so many people love. A good friend of mine who just got a new JL turned me on to you and she cannot say enough good things. Gratz again on making such an impact that other channels are feeding off your input and actually making connections back to the source. Thank you for having the forethought to provide the link to TFL interview and give creds to JeepInformant for their helpful inputs. I have posted the following historical info/insight on TFL's page that you provided link to, with hopes the engineers can/will use them and put them here to help you understand that the issues you brought up are real, and have been historically addressed by Jeep or other manufacturers.
30+ yr Jeeper here, Must be young engineers that refused to look at prior Jeeps and the forethought that went into them, and other industries that do have fan noise standards and HAVE addressed the fan noise issue through design. 1. For decades the License Plate was mounted off the bumper and under the Tail Light - For This Exact Reason! - Just put it back where decades of proof say it should go. 2. For decades the Cross Members were flat where they bolted to the Frame so they did not generate "Catch Points" - Just keep using the engineering already in place for this issue and stop making excuses to compensate for newbie engineers thinking they need to change everything simply because they do not understand why it was like that to start with. 3. A high tensile Aluminum Skid will add very little to the weight. While if large enough (what is being asked for) will actually help save fuel by reducing drag and increase heat dissipation. Most manufacturers have already researched this, determined making the undercarriage as flat as possible Helps them meet the new MPG standards, and have implemented it on dozens of their cars. Also, it is NOT being asked that it is standard equipment, only that it is an available option! 4. Try contacting the manufacturers of fans for the computer industry. They have all redesigned their fans to meet the office environment low decibel requirements while still providing the cooling requirements. Honestly, it not only can be done, it HAS been done. 5. Hmmm, TPM notifications are for the safety of the consumer; Ummm, they why is the safety of all consumers that you are actually marketing this vehicle to not respected enough to have that same safety?!! It has been brought up to you by hundreds of people (and marketing class will tell you that you only actually hear from about 2% of the people with an issue), it is REAL. If the sensor light is on All The Time it is NOT Protecting ANYONE. Like LB has graciously responded with in their response video (OMG they are being so nice about all this), in all the computerized displays available, put a way to dial in the pressure the customer is running so they can actually benefit from this SAFETY feature! 6. As to the Auto Stop Start "feature", yes, the Gov. has you by the nads on this one. And I honestly think that the Jeep Engineers are just as tilted about it as the customers are. Hence it is why they put the button in AND made it so easy to just disable by simply removing a part (check out "JeepInformant" for how) which is most likely the most they can do without getting into trouble.

I think you have been spot on in all of your pros & cons .. you even fessed up about the flares .. if you owned a jk and have bot a JL then you know the beauty of the JL is that they listened and reed our complaints and made this jeep amazing right off the showroom floor... yes there is allot of room for upgrades .. but that is how we personalize our jeeps to our needs and the look that we want ..the deal with the bumper is it causes damage to the body & that need to be addressed by jeep ... everything else i / we can work with .. my problem with replacing rear bumper is that I will also have to do front as well .. hello jeep it is a $52, 000 jeep no one wants a $52, 000 Frankenstein jeep .. thanks you guys for all the good info & footage ..

Awesome follow up video guys! And to those people who say your complaining, that's BS. Just cause you love something doesn't mean there not a few things you don't like and it's a jeep! Finding those issue and fixing it to the way you like it is what jeeping is all about. Keep the great videos coming and as always keep on jeepin on!!

I love you guys us and inform us about your wrangler JLU. It's a great public service, both as 'things to look out for' & as a 'buyer beware'. I would also like a follow-up on the leak that was coming into the cabin of the Jeep while you were driving in the rain. Thanks guys, keep doing what you're doing

It kinda bugged me the way the engineer addresses your concerns. His tone was very dismissive, and Roman kinda just went along with him. I’ve been watching TFL for years and that video let me down.

Glad to hear you mention that you are on the extreme side of your rock crawling. I thought the same thing when TFL was going over your list. Most people are Mini Lite Brites when they offroad. You guys are a different level. Great video.

Same "complaints" with my JL only I would add steering is very loose at high speeds. Squirrelly. Spot on with the fan and rear bumper. They never explained why its so loud - does not need to be loud to move a ton of air. If they raked the rear bumper corners and just had a screw on license plate it would solve a lot of issues. The front bumper design is far superior to the rear... love the vids guys, keep on posting. Love the JL - amazing vehicle.
