Billy Long visited the cancer center in Bolivar, Missouri, where I worked between 2010 and 2020. His daughter was diagnosed and treated for lymphoma (pubic knowledge and NOT treated in Bolivar). He had a deer in the headlights look and asked no questions about health care in Missouri. One of my coworkers who had lived in Missouri his entire life and knew more about the the local politics and politicians suggested that both Billy Long and Governor Mike Parsons (former Bolivar sheriff) were "dumber than fence post." When I retired in December of 202 and moved back home to the Pacific Northwest my only regrets about leaving Missouri were there are no Andy's (frozen custard) franchises in the Northwest and that I could not vote against Billy Long, Mike Parsons, and Josh Hawley. Thank you, Rachel Maddow, for pointing out the TOTAL lack of qualifications of Mr. Long to head the IRS.

In December alone, credit card debt went up 36% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities.
