The first one is a maybe so Bixby may crash and burn and now you have a button that is useless.
Because there's nothing more convenient than having to constantly untangle your premium earbuds and being tethered to your phone. And it's just more convenient to hold up your phone and look into the scanner which may or may not work, than casually taking out your phone and scanning your finger (which is now placed in an awkward and hard to reach place on the back of the phone.)
Dex goes against the 4th reason of being convenient. Now to use a desktop operating system instead of pulling out a MacBook or laptop I now have to get a separate accessory, find a monitor and carry around a keyboard and a mouse.
I'll agree with USB C and Bluetooth 5.0 though
The insides may be better than other android phones but won't be as fast or optimised to the software than an iPhone. There is also no stereo speakers or duel camera.
The design is the only thing going for it. Sure app developers can update their apps for that display, but videos are shot in a 16:9 ratio. So do you have wasted space on the display when taking photos or recording videos? Do you keep cropping out parts of YouTube videos to fit the odd display? Or just put up with the black bezels? Do people send really long snapchats?
The only reason that people want the Galaxy S8 is because it's pretty. Techies may want all the other random features but most consumers just want a good phone that works.

Top 5 reasons not to buy 5. Bixby: not ready and not nearly as good as Google's assistant. If you could remap the Bixby button to something else I imagine most would 4. convenience: Face scanner can be fooled with a picture. 3. Desktop mode: Does anybody use this? 2. The insides: Once again Samsung releases a superior and inferior model as benchmarks are now showing us. 1. Design: Yes the front is gorgeous, however that fingerprint sensor location is still horrible no matter how you approach it.
