Nexus 6 vs OnePlus One - Dogfight!

Показать описание
The Nexus 6 and OnePlus One are two incredibly powerful Android smartphones on the market and both of them go after the Android enthusiasts, but which is top dog? Well the Nexus 6 is certainly the more favored device by Google, running their latest software Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it might be too expensive. Costing as much as other flagships do, its not the same Nexus device we saw last year with the Nexus 5. On the side of the OnePlus One, it is the Android customizer's dream phone with stock options being interchangeable without rooting. It also runs a skin called Cyanogenmod which is preferable to many Android users with custom ROMs available.

That title was very misleading, there was no dogfighting...

OnePlus One has no flaws other than OnePlus Customer Service and certain units that people have issues with. Amazing all around

I have a lollipop build on my one plus and it is a beast..super fast, 6 to 7 hours of screen time ..easily lasts an average user 2 days, apower user 1 1/2 days..Add in the cost difference and its a no brainer..I was hoping for so much more with the latest nexus devices, but I am disappointed .

I've had the oneplus, and sold it. Cyanogenmod was buggy enough to make the experience not worth it, though I loved the customization. So unless you are a developer, I'd go with stock lollipop, solid as a rock.

Oneplus One clearly wins.
Today I say that we don't need 2k displays I perfectly enjoy every video that I watch on my Oneplus one, I'm not able to see any pixel, I think 2k it's marketing, also the nexus 6 display is a cheap version of an amoled display as some units are presenting burning marks.
Oneplus one has a better battery life and the DCI 4k option is awesome!.
Also the size is perfect for my hands 6 inches are crazy!
Nowadays invites aren't hard to get, you can even buy the phone witouth an invite!

I don't know how the nexus 6 wins this dogfight. It has worse battery life, mediocre 2k display compared to others and is just flat out ugly billboard on the back of it. Only thing nexus 6 has better is camera. doesn't matter about lollipop opo will have it in few weeks

I like that Marco actually picks a winner at the end of the video. So many reviewers waste 10 minutes just to say "it's up to you". It's good to see someone who is not afraid to state his opinion.

they said that Oneplus One can't run Music and Camera at the same time

OnePlus support almost non existing...i have with random reboot and then developed issues with my mic not working. This is now ongoing for 2 months ...OnePlus will not reply to my support emails...2. they dont want to replace my handset....4. they will close your ticket as solved without solving the problem. 5. i had to open a paypal case which made them to offer me a replacement. Owned phone since Aug 2014, only used it for 2 months...been trying to recover my money and replacement since. Would I want a replacement after the service from support? No....so now they dont want to give refund hence paypal chasing them.

Major major issue with support. Got more important things to sort out than to chase OnePlus support for stuff like these

in almost every review i have seen, you guys miss the sound quality/performance of the nexus 6, it surprised me how much better it sounds ( i came from a nexus 4 )

OnePlus does not back up warranties at all. I have a phone with a defective handset mic that is a common issue. They are of ZERO help. DO NOT BUY FROM ONEPLUS! They do not take care of their customers.

If on a budget: OPO
If no problem spending about double the price for the better phone, Nexus 6.

OnePlus One wins easily... I have one and screen scharpness is the same as nexus 6 (you cant see a difference above 300 ppi so why even bother?!) the onplus one is user friendly, if you don't want to tweak you can easily use the exact same way as the nexus... Specs are the same because the nexus needs more processor and battery for its larger and higher resolution screen... And yes nexus gets fast updates and it has software that is build specifically for the device but so does oneplus one, they only have one phone right now and updates have been perfect and software is perfectly optimized... oh and the onplus is like 2 times cheaper ... I'm really disappointed in the nexus, i thought they would try to compete against the onplus making a good cheap phone but nope, they fucked up...

One thing I'm curious about is the ring "flash" that the Nexus 6 has. this could be really good for macro photography *if* the minimum distance to the phone (while retaining focus) is small enough...
I have bought the opo along with a protective case to dissipate the impact in case I accidently drop it face down.

I bought my OPO through an invite 3 months ago just as I was about to give up on getting one. I am really happy with the phone and I have no intention of upgrading again for at least a couple of years. Does everything good enough without any issues that are a turn off which is what I want. I believe if a phone is great in one field and lacking in another field this is not a good phone but the OPO is not one of these phones

I had very high praise & thoughts for the Nexus line, until the Nexus 6 and (to an extent) the Nexus 9 came out, just goes to prove there's no "go-to" in the tech world these days.

My money's on the OnePlus One :)

Ex-Nexus fanboy here. I bought a new Nexus 6 and in less than 2 weeks of use it developed obvious burn in on the top and bottom of the screen. Sold it quick before it lost it value and picked back up my OPO and it is clearly the better phone overall, especially since the Nexus 6 is twice the price. Aside from CyanogenMod and the mediocre camera on the OPO, its an amazing phone.

OPO 64GB = $350, Nexus 6 64GB = $700

it's literally 2x the price.
