Your video was informative but I think a bit biased. Also, the smacking and swallowing sounds are kinda gross. Try getting a pop filter and sitting further away from your mic. Good video though, keep it up.

This is not a fair comparison. One+ running Euphoria with a lean kernel vs the stock rom and kernel on the Nexus 6. Install the same Rom AND kernel on both then do it again.

@BigOasis Colbert

is it worth the speed reduction though?

I love how all the benchmarks make you feel good about your device. It's funny how he's doing the test on a 1+1 and yet his score is higher than a 1+1.

Stopped using benchmarks to gauge performance a long time ago. Daily usage, app lag, app open speeds are more realistic tests IMO to find out if the phone stands out as a better performer.

well that was a unfair wifi speed test.. when you do that you have to do that seperatly or when 1 phone ends the download test if another one is still doing it it will win so do them seperatly

Loving my OnePlus One, I love Android, every flag ship phone from every major company is going to preform awesome, pretty much comes down to personal preference, they can all be made faster and to your own personal liking, my OnePlus is overclocked at 2.88GHz and freaking flies!

Nexus 6 clearly the winner !

1- the OPO is running a custom ROM
2- not only stock Android is less performant than custom, but it currently suffers from problems...

If only the nexus 6 was unencrypt. It is not as fast as it could be.

1-You have to charge them to over 55% of Battery, man. You can't make any speed test using low battery charge, because of the processor clocking.
2-You are choosing randomly whatever is installed in both phones... you have to be more organized and plan the precise apps to te reviews.

The WiFi test was unfair. They should be tested one after the other. You can see that when the oneplus was done the nexus immediately got faster speeds.

Looks that the one is the fastest android smartphone out there. Thank you for this comparison!

Fun fact.

The one is cheap because they dont have a huge marketing campaign (which would just be way to complicated and costly for a small startup)

Samsung Apple etc phones DO have a huge marketing campaign BUT marketing is used to make MORE MONEY. If a huge company would actually LOSE money in the end than they not have marketing campaings.

Therefore products with alot of "successful marketing" (as Samsung Apple etc) should actually be able to sell their devices far below the ONE price. (The per sold unit profit would decrease but the overall profit would increase significantly thanks to all the new customers that were lured by the commercials)

Yet they do the exact oppopsite because they are greedy.

Think about that.

I do have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which I was gifted by a family member (because she got the new nexus with her contract) I will never buy a new phone because some marketing people want to convince me that I need more and more power for nonsensical useless apps.

thanks for this awesome comparison man, it was very helpful for me, i have one last question: how long you think that the oneplus one will be as supported device? and how long we can call it as a flagship (high-end) phone?

Maybe some differences in performance are caused by the higher screen resolution of the nexus 6. Even though the cpu is newer and more advanced it takes a lot of processing power to work that pixels. Dont get me wrong, I am a proud 1+1 owner but you should still consider the resolution in tests like this. Good video though.
