Me testing batteries in my usual non-scientific way! Couple of surprises, to me at least!

Nice one AndroidAndyUK . I did a test myself (but only have a N5, so if you or anyone else would like to contribute..). 100% brightness, screen always on, wifi on, gps on (high accuracy mode), load the 'GPS Status' app and let it drain. That's indoors, and probably impossible to lock a position since there's 4 cement floors in the way. Here's what I got:
30 min mark - 83% (-17)
1 hour - 66% (-17)
1, 5 hours - 48% (-18)
2 hours - 27% (-21)
2, 5 hours - 7% (-20)
2 hr 44 mins - 0%
Off course there's no need to measure every 30mins like I did (although it's interesting to see that there's slight variation in the amount the % drops, so ideally we would want the total time to drain the bat rather than calculate it and be off) . My idea is that obviously the gps is a major battery drainer, and yet so important since it provides an accurate 'where' (navigation, apps like remember something at a location/store), and it also gonna indicate how hot the device may get, plus maybe an indication about the gps chip (cause if a device can lock in the worst possible scenario it'll probably be super when out and about).

Watched the whole video, and I too was surprised of the poor performance of the One+. Expected the note 4 to be that good though. Also the Nexus 6 surprised me given the reviews going around like MKBHD who was dismayed at the battery life of his nexus 6, but then one has to consider a lot of other factors.

I'm a bit surprised with the results of the OPO. I'm personally loving the battery life of my OPO when compared to my N5.

The fact that oneplus one doesn't yet have lollipop should be taking into account and tests re tested when lollipop is available

Too be honest you need to set all phones at the same nits brightness, and amoleds are better at playing videos and LCDs are better at web browsing, cool video nonetheless

It's pretty much plain and simple for me nothing beats Samsung or the Galaxy Note products they are android nothing else matters.

hands down best review of battery and from the 3 phones I am choosing from. from the oneplus, nexus 6 and note 4 which has the best battery? because I have my doubts about them all... like the note 4 most expensive and it has touchwiz, nexus 6 doesn't have the best battery life reviews, with a pink tint apparently & the oneplus I won't be able to get insurance plus it's a Chinese company that I'm not willing to trust, what would you advise me to get?

How can be one plus one the best? It had less battery life than the note 4. So note 4 is wining in the end.

u cant compare battery life using certain range of battery u have to see entire battery i.e from 100 %(plus trickle charge) upto 0% till it shuts down

This isn't even a fair test, some phones have Sims inside while the others don't. The ones with Sims inside will ofc drain a little more. Then you got the fact of VLC it's crap compared to MX Player, and it will probably do better on the phones it's more optimised for. Nexus 6 and Note 4...Otherwise, I'm sure you'd get the best battery on the Oneplus one.
