Anyone who complains about not getting an invite isn't trying hard enough to get one.
OnePlus have had several events where you can order one without an invite, their forums have a constant thread where people give out invites. Yes the invite system is annoying but if you really want one you can get one pretty easily.

Did anyone ask you to show us the OnePlus One Mark? That's right, no one did.

Bullshit. I work in cell retail, and I have an OPO. I can compare the OPO display right by the G3 QHD display, and the difference is tiny. Actually, that was a lie. The difference is pretty big. You see significant performance loss, and significant battery life loss. On the plus side, all so your round things look a teeny bit sharper on your already high resolution small phone display. Display tech makes a hell of a lot of a bigger difference than resolution (AMOLED 1080p looks way better than LCD QHD in most cases, in my opinion). Which while jumps to 720p and 1080p were more significant (though if I had the option of better performance and battery life I may still choose 720p over 1080p on a phone display), QHD is a jump that makes too little a difference, and is just marketing gimmicks. "BIGGER NUMBERS THAN THAT PHONE! BUY OUR PHONE!" is all it is.

I never said anything about smartphones jumping to 720p and 1080p before because I was not going to complain about resolution jumps being "not noticeable" until I saw them. Now I saw the 1440p resolution jump, and I hate it. This is the worst jump in resolution, because you get less positives, with even worse and more obvious negatives.

Can't wait until they fire this guy. Pretty much every video he's released has been total garbage with basically no valuable information.

I think the like/dislike ratio and viewcounts prove that the majority agree with me.

6 months later and its still not even fully available everywhere -_-

A phone released 6 months ago is still considered new.

If you really want to see how a phone holds up, do an updated review of the HTC One M7 or the Galaxy S4. Something that's been on the market for more than a year.

You lost me on the screen front. 1080p on a 5.5 inch screen is still in the 400ppi mark. It's impossible to discern pixels in everyday use and only in very specific edge cases does the qHD make the difference. So resolutions past 1080p on screens that are sub 7" devices are more or less irrelevant.

However Mark's claim about brightness is just flat out factually wrong. OPO has a brightness rating of 440 nits, which is middling by the way. iPhones 6/6+ have a brightness of around 550 give or take. HTC's One M8 rates at 496.

The qHD displays have pathetically low brightness ratings. G3 has a rating of 379 nits, the Note 4 has 331 and the Nexus 6 has a pathetic 258. Last time I checked, 440 was a larger number than any the qHD screens rates.

This information isn't secret, you can get these numbers from Anandtech, which I did. Mark, don't just make claims on videos. Do you research and present your evidence.

I´ve had mine for about 3 weeks now and i couldnt be happier. Amazing phone, the screen is great, the camera is also very nice, the build quality is flagship and the speed... silky smooth.

Best thing tho is the battery, i use wifi and 3g all day long, reading, taking pictures, gaming, and it lasts practically 2 days... great improvement from my previous phone.

I tried getting my one plus the day that they made it available for 24 hours. Of course it sold out immediately. Applied for an invite for the hell of it. Got the invite last week and pulled the trigger on the purchase. I love it so far.

I spent just 10 minutes on that forum and i had - not only one, which i was already filling out the shopping form  -, but three invites in my mailbox. So it really is no big deal anymore.

There have been many, many opportunities for people to order. The only time servers crashed was on the first occasion. Invites are very easy to come by the last couple of months too. Nice fact checking, I guess you couldn't read that off a spec sheet.

My wife has a Note 4 and I can tell that much difference in the screen to blown out of the water. The N4 screen graphics look flatter too. I also get better battery life on my Oneplus than my wife does on the N4. This guy, No idea

There's always that one catch with a price that's too good to be true. With this one, it's that none expandable memory. Killed it for me.

I'd hope after six months the phone would still be god as us normal people get new phones every 2 years.

They're available in shops off the shelf down under - strange it's not in the US. I'm enjoying mine still.
