Well, I think adding an NACS to triton, Signet and ABB et Al is the right move it’s not gonna fundamentally change the lack of reliability those platforms have due to installation back in and software decisions. They’ll just be unreliable with CCS connectors, and NACS connectors.

in my country (portugal) a wall charger type 2 with 7, 4kw is 1400$. so tesla wanting 500$ for a 11kw charger sounds pretty good. if the tesla charger goes standard things will get interesting because then competition will surge and we can phase out gas stations to bring in nacs stations everywhere. anybody can get a ccs/nacs adaptor, problem is the software and pricing ( i do agree that tesla owners should get a discount if the station is tesla).

Steer-by-wire is long overdue. There are several advantages to seer-by-wire including steering modes such as normal/sport, greater effect as the wheel rotation increases, and especially an easy change from left to right hand drive.

NACS will be great for EV community as a whole, but it will have its hiccups, possibly even just as frustrating just for the fact that Tesla superchargers are reliable because the handshake with the car is perfect and in house. It may become a concern when that handshake has to go through multiple different parties/ automakers

Mercedes now wow, if BMW and VW get on board there could be an outside chance that NACS could be permitted in Europe. Even better if it moves towards worldwide standard
