Thank you, Solution 5 was kinda my way out but i had to manually make it restart through the selected disk because the automatic restart was not solving it. Happy new year folks!

Wow! your advice and comments from other people helped to bring my comp to life again!
I shut it down completely, unplugged, and then held simultaneously OPTION COMMAND P R AND POWER for over 15 seconds. Then I heard the restarting sound and the screen turned on.

Step 5 saved me, I’ve been having battery issues for ever

The CMD+OPTION+P+R at the same time and pushing the power button worked for Thank you!! I was almost crying. 😢
Now if I can just get my screen fixed so it doesn’t shut off when I open it past a certain point. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I still can't get my macbook air to reboot. I started an update and it has been looping for 24 hours. Nothing seems to work:[ but the instructions here are clear, though i wish the subtitles were smaller and more condensed with the instructions.

PRAM/NVRAM worked for me. My Intel Mac was stuck on the Apple logo, with no loading bar. This method resolved it quickly and I heard the start-up sound. My login screen came up. Thanks!
