DVD drive won't eject on this macBook pro. Fixed!

I fix another MacBook Pro, this Time by bending part of the frame with a putty knife :)

Thanks so much! I'd tried every other non invasive options listed on help sites. None worked and I was about to take the drive out and do "surgery" on it when I came across the putty knife maneuver. I used small scissors instead and it worked. You're a genius!

Another testimony to your testament. I tried everything..I thought I was doing good when I learn how to reject it with all the other /Cards, knives, turn it upside down methods. I also bought a second old MacBook for parts to exchange the drive.
Then I decided to take one last look to see what I should doTo make the exchange correctly. As blessings would have it, I found you.
Thanks overly! Now my drive works perfectly.
Ultimately, Unnecessarily, So many souls with untold dollars and times and headaches and miseries...Hello, there was a very simple fix.

Dude! My nephew gave me his 2015 MacBook Pro when he upgraded and for the first time since I’ve had it, I played a dvd movie last night and couldn’t get the dvd to eject this morning. I called him and he was like ‘oh, yeah, I dropped it and bent the dvd opening slot. A quick look at your video and a little help from my stainless steel grill spatula and voila! Works perfectly now!
