How to Release your Golf Club Perfectly with this Extension and Rotation Checklist
Показать описание
The release of the golf club occurs right after impact with the ball, and before the follow through. During this stage of the golf swing your hands rotate one over the other and you are encouraged to keep your arms extended. Even though the golf ball has already been hit when you release the golf club, mistakes here can be indicative of mistakes made before impact with the ball.
In this video you will learn how the extension phase of the golf swing easily differentiates between the professional golfers and the amateur golfers. You will learn to open your hips towards the target, plant your left leg straight into the ground and push against the toes of your right foot. You will also learn to point the club straight towards the target and as you do to allow your wrists and clubface to rotate. Follow the golf tips below to improve your extension and rotation for better golf shots.
Amateur golfers often fail to perform the extension and rotation correctly. Rather, they often under-rotate their hips towards the target at impact. They might also collapse their knees instead of keeping that left leg straight. Finally, their elbows might be far from each other in a bent position rather than seeing your arms fully extended.
Use these golf release checkpoints to hit the ball like a Pro:
- Be sure to open your hips towards the target. And use the mental image of moving your belt buckle so that it points at the target.
- Also, try to keep your glove hand as far away from your body as possible. This happens when you are able to keep your arms straight after impact.
- Finally, be sure that you are releasing the club after impact. What we mean by this is make sure that your clubface is allowed to rotate. The clubface should not be pointing towards the sky after impact. Rather, it should be pointing towards the back of your stance. This should occur because your hands are swapping places at impact. Where the left hand was leading the club towards impact, the right hand is now leading the club after impact and into the follow through.
