I got mine on the 29th of December. I love everything about it. My previous car was a Jaguar XE R-Dynamic and the i5 M60 is better in every way. I didn’t opt for carbon fiber, power sunshades, or crystal controls. Came in under $100k. With my Jaguar trade, my payments are the same as what I was paying on the Jaguar. If I am stressed at work, I just need to get in the car and it makes my so happy. You can’t put a price on that. I think about my car in every spare moment. I sometimes have to step outside and look at her. I am in love.

There’s a lot of hate in this country for the new 5 series which I suspect has mainly brewed from the fact we aren’t getting the 520d. I picked up an i5 earlier this month & I absolutely love it. These BMW electric M50 & M60s are more M Sport variants then a true M car.

I am leasing mine (loaded) for 1050 a month with first month down, government fees and 7msds. When you look at that, its hard to compare to most ICE in this price range. On top of that, I will save about 120 a month on fuel . Downside, it probably eats tires.

Ah come on… weight. It doesn’t matter how much horsepower a vehicle has if it weighs as much as a small planet. Cars like this impress 0-60, the EV pony’s singular trick, but won’t ever deliver the craic of spirited backroad driving like, say, a good ICE car.
I’ve had several 5 Series’ since 2005 including E60 & F10 14:52 M5s and there’s no way I’d buy an i5 M60.

Nobby Harry from Harry garage ripped this car apart. All the German stuff has lost its way. The price tag is ridiculous for a 5 series and the range isn't that great

530e would be my choice Nobby. I bought a g20 330e last year and love it. Charge in work Monday to Friday and let the petrol do its thing at the weekend the car is much more fun when the ICE is involved I can’t ever imagine going full electric Id miss the noise and feel of an ICE too much.

This is an “M-Performance’ model
-> The interior of all the spec variations has been the same, for the last several decades. E.g. A the 520d interior has been the same as the 550i model
-> Several years of +10% inflation each year means prices are higher now. There aren’t many 600bhp cars for under £100k!
-> Frequent used apps you add into shortcuts - swipe down on the screen to access
-> Economy - all high power cars suffer very poor economy

As an I5 M60 owner, the fact I can keep up with an M5 already justifies the M badge. Experience of a m5 course not. Smooth quiet and still on ur tail.

I got mine on the 16th and I am torn. My love for BMW led me to get one. Where do I begin. I ordered it and I am somewhat unhappy. Is it fast..hell yes and the boost button..OMG. The speakers..front sounds cheap. There are 3 charging in the front..2 hidden just behind the cup holders so they can get wet with one spill..thats was stupid. My hood looks like it's open. I like it but love no. It's a good thing I still have my 545i. I got it in Dark Graphite. Its beautiful but I need it to be gas and mine does have carbon fiber inside and on the outside mirror and the wing on the truck.

The price is nuts!! Think of all the alternative (and better) cars that you could buy for that money. The fit and finish in the latest generation 5 has diminished, the looks are questionable, the range is poor, and BMW have jacked up prices … interesting business model 🤔

Ive an i4....15k less than the entry 5 series and all the car the 5 is where it counts. Plus, i was able to add a few bits. You're paying for 5 over 4, thats all.
