As BMW continues to move toward a fully electric future, the first-ever #BMWi5 is an electric version of the just redesigned #BMW5Series. This 2024 #BMWi5M60 is the most powerful version and its the closest thing that you'll get to an electric version of the #BMWM5, which will be introduced next year as a PHEV. The #i5M60 will produce nearly 600 HP and #BMW says this model will hit 60 MPH in well under 4 secs.

Sofyan so excited he started stuttering. I understand. The interior is dope. I visit the dealership around every 9 months. Got a X3M40i to take care of

I love BMW but 90k with no cooled seats is crazy

Turn on the sport steering, and it’s not numb. Signed, an i4 M50 driver!

About the range. BMW is very conservative there. I frequently get 280 miles on the i4, despite EPA saying 227.

The people that mine the cobalt for the battery of EVs in Africa, work in such inhumane and savage conditions. It's really messed up. There's got to be a better way.

I wish BMW would take the existing diesel/electric technology in locomotives and scale it down to a car. I bet it would be a fantastic performer with great MPG.

For $90, 000 the only option should be an upgraded paint job and wheels.

I read that both he i4 and iX are exceeding their EPA rated ranges by a significant amount in tests. Plus I’m seeing a lot of i4 and iX models driving in the wild. I like them both a lot and bet the i5 will also exceed its EPA range

Such an awesome review! Your hard work in such an informative video is evident! I happened to see this car in person in a parking lot recently and it looks impressive!

Interior quality is a big downgrade from the last gen. No leather airbag cover, dash, or door trim. And BMW’s cost cutting continues even though the price increased! No ambient lighting in the rear, no map pockets, no massaging seats, no four-zone climate control, and no rear comfort access.

Excellent review as always, honestly, I’m just a bit more excited now how much this would LOWER a very slightly used 21’-23’ i550 x drive, patiently waiting for almost 1 yr now to purchase a lightly used 7-15k miles, fully loaded for under 60k..wish me luck!

I like the performance, but the range is a tad too low especially during winter months where realistically that is going to be about 190 mile range at 100%.

The new modern cars have a lack of character for the interiors.

It's 2023 and my only requirement for any electric car which costs over 100k must have a 100+kwhr battery pack. I went with the iX50 fully loaded, paid cash, and loving it. It gets over 500km on 80% charge (22" wheels) this past summer which is way more than enough to reach Cottage Country and back from the Toronto area.

Love the new 5, it’s really grown on me. I actually don’t mind the range because obviously the 5 Series isn’t a dedicated EV. BMW built this car with the gas engines in mind first, and then made it an EV.

My i5 M60 will be here in a couple weeks. People are easily exceeding range, if they don’t use boost and floor it every signal. I was waiting for a normal looking electric sedan. I had no need for a frunk, as I rarely use the trunk. They are a dumb novelty.

Fake leather for almost 100k is crazy to me.
