Regarding the separate glass opening of the trunk. I have the current 3-series touring and that opening actually gives me much more usable space. When you are vacationing you can first put in all the big things the normal way up to the shelf and then you can close the trunk and open the glass window and fill all the available spaces. Try to do this without the separate opening and everything will fall out. They cheaped out too much on material and important thing on this car just to introduce a bunch of gimmicks.

I love touring...
And this one is gorgeous.
I think BMW do a great job in EV.
This car is a beast, the 60-100km/h is absolutely insane in the video...and great reaction from Léa for the Hazard light 👍

Aside from our different opinion on synthetic versus natural animal skins you are by far the absolute best in thoroughly reviewing a car from its ergonomics the appreciation for quality aspects to the performance and the drivability of the car your reviewing. Attention to detail and appreciation for quality are your unique qualities which avails to the viewers of your channel a comprehensive snapshot of the car that one maybe considering to purchase. There isn’t a minute in your reviews that isn’t filled with pertinent information that one could never obtain from a dealership. Great job!

I cannot understand the push for animal friendly material for the seats. As long as we eat meat the cows skin should be used Leather is bio degraded synthetic material is based on petroleum products and certainly not earth friendly nor biodegradable like leather is which is a organic material . Leather does not come from endangered animals but from animals used for food . The push is for the use of biodegradability and recyclability for cars . Synthetic petroleum based seat covering certainly does not fall into this category

Dear Thomas, 4 years ago, I was looking for a new car and was in a dilemma between A6 and 5 Series. Watched your comparison review and decided to get G30 520d. Recently, I was in the market again to replace my current daily driver and your review of this i5 Touring helped me decide. I trust your reviews and just booked a i5 Touring eDrive40 at BMW Niederlassung Muenchen. Thank you for all the educational content on cars. You're the best ! :)

Finally wagon time. And cool to see it in red 🔥 My favorite i5 spec.. But. It's such a shame that the battery are on the small side. Totally agree with you that the battery should be at around 100kWh.

The tail lights are better than the sedan version that it s a premiere 😮

Thanks Thomas for the good review. Agree on the comment about range as we cover great distances in Australia. Electric cars are also heavy and we did not discuss the weight…

What premiums is that if you cannot get many options that you could get in g30? Eg. Massage seats.

BMW lights, dash and grill always used to be classic. For the dash they never went semi digital, keeping a neat two round dial set up. Now they have weird angled dials with asymmetrical lengths before each angle. Their lights are peculiar and worst of all the have multiple crazy grill versions and bland body shapes.

16:25 looks so much nicer without the black trim in the front

Eletric Power together with Hans Zimmer should be quite unique feeling!!!

Solar cell roof and solar cell hood would be more useful than panoramic glass that can kill you if the car flips. Especially on the long body touring version. That would mean 10km for free per day at summer spring time.
