Thank you for remembering the horrible tragedy of the Bentley and Johnson murders. I was a child when this happened but remember it well. I live 1.5 hours from Wells Grey and have visited the park many times. The RCMP fucked up this case massively and it took way too long to solve. Our justice system here in Canada sucks.
Thanks again for sharing this and bringing back the memory of the families. My prayers are still with their loved ones who lost so much and went through hell.

I’m disgusted that David gets to live out his life, get married and have children, watch tv and garden; all the things that were denied to his victims—he should have gotten the death penalty and that should have been carried out immediately.

I hear the legend of the Shimmering Turtle dates back millennia. Natives say if you saw this entity, it was either a blessing or a curse. If you could catch it, and keep it alive, you were very lucky. If it died in your care, watch out! The poor, now deceased, beautiful creatures would get their revenge by haunting you, every waking and sleeping hour, for eternity!

I don't believe someone who kills without a justifiable motive (self defense) is someone who won't offend again. David shouldn't get out, ever.

Man every time I hear last story I can't help but to be descusted at the final result. It makes me want to punt a SHIMMERING TURTLE at the criminal and the ones that desided he deserved life imprisonment like Super Mario. I agree that monster got off to easy. And the the fact he gets a rediculous amount of luxuries and amenities is such a slite to the victims loved ones😢

I'm very surprised in the last story. I wonder how many shimmering turtles are in the ponds of Canada.

A hunter calling a bear a killer is ironic. That's what you get for messing with nature. That poor bear, suffering because people can't aim.
