Any electrician who torques all his terminals charges way more than I can afford. 😂

I do that with a regular screwdriver. _twist twist twist_ *SNAP*. . . then back off a quarter turn.

This tool would be useless for me.

Sits in a lunchbox unopened for the next three years.

This is a great tool and every electrician should have one. I bought a whole set, as I was a little bit scared to hand-tighten the terminals in PV inverters - they are quite expensive. Also, greetings from Poland! :-)

Na just a couple of click on the rattle gun and it's good.

This makes the same sound like when i over tighten screws 😂

Best practice is only 1 click for accurate torque. More than 1 and you're likely beginning to over tighten. Probably not a worry with this low torque and in a non-critical application but just putting it out there.

Would be useless for me as a plumber but looks awesome. Love your work, you guys.

Florida now requires all panel lugs and breaker terminals to be torqued. I bought a Capri tools torque set for $130 and love it. One thing I always tell our apprentices is to never go cheap with tools.

I ordered one but had to send it back few days later. The next one was also crap the seller confirmed that it was a wrong batch. I bought a much cheaper but firmer.

How do you check the torque got a Torque setting calibration checker ( seriously!! I am also a diving systems support technician and torque settings on diving kit is a fecking site more critical than a screw in a switch😂). As for giving it a click then leaving it....I wouldn't ! Torque it, give it a tug after a few minutes as it will doubtless be loose, torque it again. This is even more critical on meter tails. Best option is to flatten the conductors cable +square hole =tears

Kids these days. They will never understand the phrase "tight is tight, too tight is broken"

It's nice and can be useful on circuit breakers where you need to tighten to specific torque. I have similar screwdriver set from Wera.

The amount of people in the comments that think this is to increase tightness of your screws is hilarious. For those not sure, this prevents overtightening and is a good aid in meeting BS7671 in saying that equipment and accessories should be installed to manufacturers instructions where the manufacturer specifies torque settings. I know there's alot of people who think they are perfect at doing this by hand but, you ain't.
