OMG the foot on the hip! I'm going to try that for a bit and report back. Getting stacked is the number one thing that happens to me whenever I attempt triangles.

As a triangle enjoyed this are Super useful tips, never heard of the last one but that's a good way to think about it. Regarding #4 I would add that you can use the foot on the hip (after you have grabbed your shin) to get a better angle to finish before locking it up. Great work as always keep it up

Can you elaborate on the knees behind hips tip? I’ve heard a few times that pulling your knees to your chest can deepen the triangle.

If you are getting stacked, knee passing the hips, you can frame on your own knee with your arm and push it back

i get back pain when im stacked, and its enough to make me wanna tap. there’s not injury, so is this an issue of weak back muscles or inflexibility? feels silly to tap just because im stacked. when i curl my back forward, i feel tension too

My intuition is always to pull my knees towards myself because it feels like it should make the choke tighter... But I just get stacked every time 😂

The hips up thing is critical. I always tell people to hit me in the chin with your ass when trying to teach them to throw their hips up. Obviously you can't actually hit me in the chin with your ass from that position on bottom but it gets them to rocket their hips up for a good bite!

Another good tip. Don't grab your foot or you'll pop it. Grab your shin only.
