“You know what makes us different form battle droids? We make our own decisions, our own choices. And…we have to live with them to.” Damn that just hit hard.

You can see that Cody regrets attacking Kenobi so much. It wasn’t Cody who attacked Kenobi, it was the inhibitor chip.

Order 66 completely controlled the clones. That's extremely apparent with rex and wrecker in their scenes. However, it does seem that once the clones programed order was completed, they started to go back to normal.

You can definitely tell he is forever haunted by his actions when he attacked Kenobi even after all they've been through during the clone wars. I can definitely see him after abandoning the empire find Rex and team up with him to help the early rebel alliance in future episodes

Feel like Cody's words reached Crosshair. He became a little conflicted about his decisions.

I hope one day we will see Rex and Cody reunite and fight side by side as brothers once again

It surprised me how cody managed to actually get through to crosshair, even if he didn’t want to admit it

if rampart killed Cody off-screen, I will riot

I like how Crosshair looked offended when Rampart didn’t know Cody’s name and had to identify him by his number

I honestly really like this interpretation of post-Clone Wars Cody. The old Legends version of Cody was depicted as going all in on the Empire, probably as a way to cope with any lingering guilt he may feel. But to me actually showing Cody grappling with that guilt and all the regret of the war is a nice change that I think really works with how the clones got fleshed out as a thinking, living characters during the Clone Wars show. Here is Cody, the model clone soldier with a record of truly exemplary service and not a single instance of ever disobeying a direct order. And yet even after all that, in the end he decides "F*** this, I'm leaving" because even he's tired of the Empire's hot BS and its treatment of the clones and the people of the galaxy.

It’s very sad, Crosshair believed him and his team would be special in the eyes of the Empire, but now he’s treated even worse than a Reg, the way he wakes up and is referred to by his number makes him seem like nothing more than a droid

Does anyone notice that wall next to Crosshair and Cody are the names of the clones that died in the Battle of Geonosis😭😔

Dave is giving us a lot of answers about the clone wars, telling how does the clones felt after the war and their lost of hope for the republic that they fight for.

At first when he said “Funny how these clones keep disappearing” I was hoping HE wasn’t making them disappear or killing them off in secret but Im glad Cody went AWOL on his own. Hope we see him in the future

The light work is just insane. Almost every scene on Coruscant used to be either in a bright orange at sunset or bright blue during daytime. In Ramparts office Coruscant looks grey and devoid of life.

I love that we are seeing more and more clones break out of the Empire, both because they see how it treats the civilians they fought to protect, and because the influence of Order 66 is fading. However, it seems that even years after it, and possibly even after removing their chips, clones can have an adverse reaction to seeing a Jedi, like how Wolfe reacted, just from the trauma of having gone through order 66.

0:16 "We are loyal soldiers, we follow orders, but we are not a bunch of unthinking droids! We are men, we must be trusted to make the right decisions"

This episode and the midseason finale is what i want consistently throughout this show. Can't wait to see how Crosshair reacts to the Imperial Bill that screws over the clones

Man might aswell give Cody his own series because I swear there’s sooo much they could do with him
