What Happens If I Don't Get 4000 Hours Watch Time Within 365 Days?

At this point, most of us know that to be eligible for Monetization on YouTube, we must have reached 1000 Subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time.

In this video, I'll only focus on 4000 hours of watch time and it's time limit.

1000 Subscribers do not have a time limit.

So what does 12 months mean?

I'm not sure why YouTube mentioned the "within 365 days" because nothing really happens to your YouTube Channel if it does not reach the 4000 hours of watch time within the time limit.

Only a tiny fraction of watch time is lost but not enough.

If your channel does not reach the 4000 hours of watch time, YouTube does not reset your Watch time. All you have to do is post content and be consistent in uploading content that people are searching for.

Thank you for letting us know cause we are so scared of this time limit. It doesn't mean though that we will relax just because we do not loose those hours cause chille we need that money even if it's little to buy those ingredients.. it would be a huge relief not to subsidize the channel, kwaaa!
