I used both the Oral B and Philips Sonicare. I agree with the dentist, being over 50 the Sonic Care does better removing plaque and cleaning the gums better, when your teeth are receding. Nice review.

I am having trouble taking off the old toothbrush head so I can put a new one on. Also is it a good idea to sterilize you tooth brush head with UV light and how often should you be doing that?

Personally I think the Oral B is a bit better when it comes to reach, the head of sonicare is not round so you can´t easily brush at the back of the teeth as easy.

i have two sonicare both stopped work after 1and half year, and the philipe's after sales is terrible in china, they insist me to provide a receipt. I mean who the hell keep a receipt for two years? Now i switch to oral b. No philipe any more.

Oral problem are very common so to get rid of it we sholud choose best toothbrush for it. Electric toothbrush uses correct amount of pressure and even to remove plaque without hurting the gums.

I have the sonicare and it does absolutely nothing! My manuel toothbrush is way better. The problem is the bristle on the sonicare diamond clean 2016 version is too soft. It does nothing except splash everywhere it doesn't clean throughly. Im returning it and trying the cheapest oral b toothbrush instead.

I have bad teeth. At least the $9, 000 quote from my dentist makes me feel that way. I bought an Everwill D7 sonic toothbrush on Amazon for $30. It looked fancy and thought it was neat it stops every 30 seconds to remind you to move on to the next quadrant. It seemed like the Apple quality of toothbrushes. But the vibration drives me nuts and tickles the backside of my teeth and gums too much. So I just ordered a $100 Oral-B 5000 oscillating toothbrush and I'll see how that feels. Several reviews I read or watched mention the oscillating motion is more effective at teeth cleaning. So I'll see. By the way, who really needs Bluetooth on your toothbrush? Not me. I think I'll write a stand-up comedy bit about it. And regret not taking care of my teeth better. So jealous of people people with beautiful teeth.

sounds like you think sonicare is better? I don't believe the sonic wave thing though, I think that's just a gimmick.
