I didn't get my wisdom teeth taken out until I was in my 20s, and two of the four had died and started to press against other teeth. It's definitely a service that should be covered by basic healthcare considering you can die of a tooth infection...

Problem is most people don’t have the $2000 needed for the teeth removal!!!😮

It’s disgusting how much they charge for wisdom teeth surgery!! All dental care should be covered, tooth infections are LETHAL due to the close proximity to the brain and spinal cord

My wisdom teeth applied so much pressure, it broke multiple teeth and was starting to fracture my jaw.. When I say that shit HURT. I'd rather have my kids all natural again.

Never had pain, but had impacted tooth only partially broke thru surface. Food got down breath. Wish I had taken it out 20 years sooner. I had to use a water pic to kind of wash food out of there and mouthwash to ensure didn't have stinky breath. When you can smell your own breath know its bad. Had it out at about age 50.... Other three are fine.

I got lucky and my wisdom teeth grew in well. Seeing this makes me especially grateful for that.

My wisdom teeth started appearing when i was around 18-19 but now at 26 the still havent fully emerged and i cannot clean them properly because there is still gum tissue hiding their sides.

So I have a tumor on my left side of my cheek and dentist refuse to do service on me because of it so my wisdom tooth are still in cuz i don't have a choice but when this happens i clean by very soft brushing and used mouthwash in my mouth for a minute cuz it keeps it clean and you gotta brush your teeth every meal and use mouthwash. I'm no doctor but i do have multiple experience with it 😭✨

Got mine pulled today i have never had such a relief of pain i could feel my heart pounding in my tooth if the wind touched my face i could feel it in my tooth also my body tempreture went up high and made me feel pretty sick thats a sign you really need to get it out because the infection is getting worse

So people who are affraid of the dentist really get over it and get it done because its gonne be worse if you wait like the pain is gonne get to a point youll just drop to the floor and thats gonne scare you even more

Thank god for social healthcare in my country btw it cost me nothing

My lower wisdom teeth have been impacted since I was 27. I'm now 42 and have never had any infection or pain. So, 15yrs they've been impacted. One erupted through the gum at an angle and is pushing up against another molar. The other is totally sideways and only partially erupted through the gum. I was meant to have them out for 15yrs but I don't want nerve damage. One looks a bit stained but they haven't decayed or anything yet. I just brush and mouthwash twice a day. 😁

That's what happened to me. They only half came out. My face swelled up from an infection and my mouth was always open. The dentist scheduled an extraction and gave me antibiotics. The infection left and came back before the removal. I got a bubble of pus in my gums from it. When the surgeon removed my teeth, he said my mouth was full of pus. I felt amazing once everything was done. I think my body and I were just relieved that the source of my infection was gone.

I would if it wasn't that expensive. Currently, I don't have insurance and will only get the ones that are causing pain extracted.
