Day 5 and i dont have any symptoms of infection but the smell and taste is killing me.😢

Day 5. I’m noticing bad breath and taste in my mouth from one socket. This is where I had an impacted tooth and was giving me bad breath in the first place. Went for a check up and doctor says no sign of infection or dry socket. So I’m just doing my best to take it easy… rest and recover, and keep up with gentle hygiene to the best of my ability.

I’m really hoping after 2-3 weeks things will be back to normal.

Day 9 & im getting a slight weird/unpleasant taste coming from one of my sockets (75% closed). I have no pain and no puss.
Went in for a checkup in the morning and they said they found some food particles in there . Could be from that. They gave me a syringe to clean it out @ home . However I’m starting to get that taste again . I hope it doesn’t turn out to be an infection.

Hello, I am concerned right now. 4days ago I had a tooth removed my back left top Muller because of decay .. however I think it was my wisdom tooth because when I was younger they removed my mullers to give room and said that procedure would be far less painful of a recovery. So with that being said, I have a socket healing and it does not severely hurt (feels like a hole cuz there is lol), it does not look to be infected it is not bleeding it just REEEEKS HORRIBLY!! I have rinsed with salt water like instructed I have gone by the book but this thing just keeps on reeking! I know I’m still early in recovery but is this to be expected? If taken a soft tool and lightly brushed the wound and very few particles came out.. I don’t think I have food stuck up there I just can’t stand this horrid smell! If this is normal I’ll just get through it but with no real discomfort I don’t think it’s dry socket.. any feedback would be great thank u
