Picture it- you’ve got all best jewels on, you’re wearing your finest dress, your husband who’s also your brother is wearing his finest dress and he’s got his sexiest fake beard on, and the guests are arriving. As you sashay through the adoring crowd, perfumed ox fat drips down your face spreading a lovely scent. Truly, you are the epitome of haute couture.
That’s what your evening might have been like if you were a pharaoh’s wife a couple thousand years ago. Today on Nutty History, we talk about what fashion was like in Ancient Egypt! The black eye-liner is called kohl not coal, and is still used today in Egypt.... in fact all of the Middle East and India.
Neffertiti wore a crown not a hat!!!

They also wore the eyeliner for protection against bugs getting near their eyes.

The black eyeliner is "Khol", not "Coal".
Even if it's also black, coal is the stuff that's burned for heat.

I don't care for the new host. I feel like her target audience is for little kids and it didn't before. It's fine if it is but annoying for adults.

They shave their body hair off including including pubic hair and so their body was generally hairless except for except for the head which was a wig because of lice Infestations.

So much was missed here, including the blue eyeshadow and the makeup worn by men and women.

Eyeliner was made of kohl, not coal. Those are two different substances.

"Then the priest answered & said unto the Queen of Space, kissing her lovely brows, and the dew of her light bathing his whole body in a sweet-smelling perfume of sweat: O Nuit, continuous one of Heaven, let it be ever thus; that men speak not of Thee as One but as None; and let them speak not of thee at all, since thou art continuous!" (Liber AL vel Legis, I;27)

Love watching nutty history but please don't ever let this narrator do vids again. Excruciating at best.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I behold function, not beauty.

6:14 - That's amazing! I never knew that Nefertiti's head dress was what inspired the Bride of Frankenstein's hair!

Nefertiti was inspired by Frankenstein's monster's wife to make a big headdress? That's impressive! You go, Bram Stoker!

Unsubscribed for many inaccuracies, I'd be happy to come back when you've improved your research though. ✌🏽

I'll be honest I prefer the male presenter, though some points were funny, I found it glossed over history for kitche humour. I hope my feedback isn't taken as criticism, just an opinion, as usual I enjoy the content!

Really interesting post! HOWEVER...can't you find a better word to describe Neffer's headdress than "bitchin'"??? Surely you could...I'm not really offended by minor swear words, but "BITCHIN"??? Gimme a break, here's kids who watch these historical offerings and personally, I wouldn't want my young sons to think dialogue like that is either common, nor acceptable for this type post....
