Prolonged fasting (3 days) changed my life. Definitely kept the weight off naturally. You're more in control after fasting. In my experience, I didn't crave/want food as much, especially unhealthy food. I wanted veggies & fruits. & mostly everyone else that has prolonged fasted, agrees to this. You're more in control with what you eat, naturally. I naturally went Vegeterian months after that. Little by little. but the weight definitely stays off. I'm shook that she said prolonged fasting is one of the worst ways to lose weight & keep it off afterwards. but that's probably her own experience. For the people that ARE doing it for WEIGHT LOSS, & are crushed by that statement that you will "gain all the weight back immediately, & that you'll hardly lose any fat of the weight loss.", trust me, you lose plenty of fat. Do your own research. You lose plenty of fat, & that fat loss is yours to keep. It does stay off. (Ofc, if you don't binge for a week straight, it'll stay off.) After fasting, your body processes carbs better, it will distribute the carbs (sugars) to your muscles more than your gut as fat more effeciently etc.... You do lose water weight as well, correct. Just clarifying that the fat loss is real. & prolonged fasting is a great way to kick start those pounds of fat to lose. Absolutely. Then, your body naturally craves better foods & boom, listen to your body, & you've gotten yourself into a healthier diet. You still must be disciplined after that "high" is gone & continue to push. but in my case, it all happened naturally, I went vegetarian naturally because of my fast. & even if I "binged", the amount of food I ate wasn't even close as to what it was before my fast. I encourage people that want to lose weight & keep it off to prolong fast. Do your own research but don't take what she said seriously. Because most people on YouTube speaking about fasting, agree on the weight being kept off afterwards anyway. Not knocking this video at all. Just had to pause the shit, & make sure the "generalization" used in this video that the weight "doesn't stay off" was addressed & "corrected" in a sense. I'm basically saying do your own research. & don't knock off "fasting" if you initially wanted to lose weight & keep it off but heard her say that. BOOM. the weight stays off as long as you don't binge for a shit load of days. The fast will shrink your stomach, therefore, you won't eat as much. It will cleanse your body, therefore, you'll crave more healthier foods. BOOM. diet changes, healthy eating, weight stays off, & continues to come off. bye

I recently did a 3 day fast for spiritual reasons but even the Bible talks about how fasting heals the body. Scriptures back it up! I noticed my skin cleared up immediately! Although we need food to survive we also need to fast from it so our body can focus on healing instead of fighting the toxins were ingesting. Although I didn’t notice any other health changes other then my skin I am def interested in seeing what else it can physically do.

I think tracking how your hormones change would be super interesting. Fasting and adrenal fatigue contributed to my hormonal imbalance so I stopped practicing fasting.
I think a lot of women would be interested in that kind of video!

I just wanted to thank you for highlighting that people who have or have had an eating disorder might not want to fast. As a person in recovery I know these videos that promote fasting can be very triggering, so thank you for helping me stay on track !

I did an accidental 3 day fast due to stress and forgetting to eat. I lost like 15 lbs. it was crazy

Edit: This was two years ago..and for the out of pocket males that feel they have the right to make assumptions about a female body. Huge. 5’8” 155 lbs. Go feel bad some where else.

I started water fasting for the first time over two years ago and I have not been sick since. No sore throats or upper respiratory infections of any kind whatsoever. It truly is amazing.

I have put my PCOS and hypoglycemia back into submission where they belong with this way of life. I have so much more energy than ever before. My circadian rhythm has balanced out (my sleep is amazing now). I lose weight slowly, which is much more sustainable anyways, but my inches change quickly (when my clothes fit better, I am a much happier soul). My muscle tone has come back much faster as well thanks to the high HGH output during IF. I hope all this wasn't too much lol. I love all in information you put out. I haven't gotten to all of your fasting videos yet, but will do soon.

I really like how you mentioned “disordered thoughts” as opposed to just eating disorders, and I like that you acknowledge the other ends of the spectrum regarding unhealthy eating habits, where the food can take control. I’ve always understood that I have a mediocre relationship with food, but never knew how to describe it like that. You’re so automatic about making healthy educated choices it blows my mind. Also ik random, was the Chicago yacht club a thrift find or are you like actually yachting??

That’s my problem, literally food controls me and I feel like I’m spiraling out of control. I gained 40 pounds in the last few months and then I lost 4 just recently so I’m on the right track but I feel like fasting for 2 days to begin will be my start to being able to control what I eat.

I'm gonna try to do a 5 day water fast(tomorrow is my 3rd day) after that I'll implement the one meal a day strategy, and continue to exercise everyday... by the end of the year I should lose at least like 25-30 pounds at the minimum, I'm excited for this change in my life. Every time I have fasted for 28hrs I kept off the weight but I do OMAD 99% of the time!! I really want to do a 3 day fast but friends keep wanting to go out and it is hard enough to do keto at a restaurant...I love the way I feel after fasting for a whole day!!
