snipers are required to record a kill count by the military, all confirmed kills have to be confirmed by a witness as well

The greatest snipers of all time are unknown and that’s done on purpose.

What got me was him allegedly “sniping looters” in New Orleans and I just lost it at that point. I was literally a six year in patrolman at New Orleans Police Department at the time during that hurricane and never at any point did we have anybody ever sniped, killed or went missing where we didn’t confirm That they were shot at at least point blank range and wasn’t some gang member. I’ll give you my word he didn’t kill anyone during the hurricane that was proven he wasn’t even there. Every ounce of respect I ever had for him was pissed down the toilet at that exact moment. Dudes a full-blown fckng liar.

My grandfather served in the Korean War as a rifleman. And all the years spending with him up til he passed he never spoke about it. Not once.

My grandpa, who served in WWII, always said that the bigshots who go around bragging about their kills are always full of shit; the ones who actually experienced the horrors of war first hand want nothing more than to forget about what they had to do. That said, this Chris Kyle stuff has never surprised me.

Actually his Widow never had too, nor was she ever in Jeopardy of losing any money due to the Lawsuit! Ventura sued Kyle when he was alive, then after he was murdered, the lawsuit went to suing his Estate and because Ventura was suing over what Kyle wrote in his book, the Publishing Company of the Book Was Legally Liable for the Payment of the Lawsuit that Ventura ended up winning 1.8 million dollars. Kyle's wife didn't pay a single penny as a result of this Lawsuit! She Didn't even Really have to go to court during this whole thing because it didn't have anything to do with her!

In every culture in history there will be always a person that will viewed as a hero but some cultures will be view the heroes as the villain.

Ummm the publisher of the book has to pay the 1.83 million. Not his wife 😉

He destroyed Jesse Ventura’s life for a buck.

Quote from some ESPN TV journalist whose name I can't remember: "Be careful who you pick for your heroes." It's a painful lesson. Maybe the answer is not to invest so much of oneself in somebody else in the first place. A form of idol worship. Most people are human and flawed, despite media hype, and will eventually let us down. It shouldn't make us cynical, just realistic.

Kyle fell victim to fame and wove a web of lies about Jesse Ventura that he couldn’t get out of. He also stole valor by claiming commendations that he never earned. As a veteran myself, I appreciate Kyles service but he ruined any legacy he had with his lies and a want to be larger than life.

Kyle's wife doesn't have to pay anything it's the insurance company that paid Jesse Ventura

This man has made mistakes like every man, but until you step foot in war, have some respect for the man who is fighting for you to step wherever you please

American Sniper is as historically accurate as The Woman King…

I'm a Combat Veteran with more trigger time than I ever wanted to have. I couldn't accurately comment on my kill count because I have no idea if I ever killed anyone. I fired on and hit several enemy combatants. But Combat is far too stressful and horrific to be able to answer that question. And frankly why would anyone want to know ? After action reports are the source for the information that comes out about what happened, what you witnessed etc etc . But taking the life of someone leaves you with a unbelievably intense feeling. And not in a good way. And when you find yourself in that place again in your mind and the faces of those who you have taken come back into your vision very often. And you realize you will spend the rest of your life seeing them daily . And you can see them as clearly as the day you fought them every time. But you don't even know their names. You took everything from them and them from everything. And you don't even know their names. It's heavy and difficult to have to live with

A hero won’t brag about his accomplishments, a book full of lies.

Chris Kyle had more BS than a cattle ranch.

What I saw in the movie was that it wasn't about him, but it was that not everyone saw the war like he did.
