This is inaccurate. He waited for both Kyle and his friend to use their remaining ammunition before taking their lives. Kyle was well aware of his strange behavior and asked his friend to watch his back via text.

They already knew the dude was crazy and texted each other about it on the way to the gun range. So why did they turn their backs to him?

What a coward Eddie Ray Routh was. He shot Chris Kyle 6 times in the back and Chad Littlefield 7 times in the back. RIP

I still will never understand why they thought bringing a guy with severe PTSD to a gun range and giving him a gun was a good idea.

they should give him the electric chair

To all of you who think that Kris Kyle deserved to be killed, here are some facts:
*Kris Kyle was known to stand up for the underdog.
*Kyle never put himself in front of others, and was a team player to the end.
*The Marine who killed him was a man he was trying to HELP.
*Kyle only killed those he saw presented a clear threat to his men and the Iraqi people.

This man is a fucking HERO with a capital H. Hooyah!

I respect this man greatly, and to think about all went through and survived overseas to serve his country and then he comes home, a few years later he gets shot in his own country? I salute hime a thousand times.

If they noticed strange behavior and knew the guy had severe PTSD, WHY TF WOULD YOU GO TO A SHOOTING RANGE OF ALL PLACES? You’re ex-military personnel, you should be wiser than that. RIP kings.

I don't care about what kind of person he was. But by the looks of this trailer, I'm gonna look forward to this movie

If I was going to take a guy out to help him with his PTSD, a shooting range probably wouldn't be my first choice. RIP Chris & Chad...

I thought Simo Hayha was the deadliest sniper in history... 505 confirmed kills in 100 days during the "Winter War".

The narrator should really have said "The deadliest sniper in US History".

It kills me how so many people want to bash soldiers.   The SOLDIERS don't choose who to fight and what war to start.  They simply sign up and more or less tell us, the public, to pick a commander and chief and if that commander and chief  tells them they need to leave their families and go put their lives on the line for the United States.. they do it!!  Period!  More commitment and dedication that most people.   You can bash a war or otherwise, but give props to every solider that is willing to give what 99% of you ARE NOT!  EVEN for a cause you believe in MOST of you wouldn't put your life on the line for it for it!!!!   You won't do more than make a sign, stand in a parking lot for 1 hour screaming, the go to F'N starbucks for some 10 word coffee title!!
