Chris Kyle has become a legend of the Navy SEALs, and is considered by many to be the most famous and celebrated sniper in the United States, and perhaps the world, even more so because his story was told in the movies.

In Iraq, where he served for a long time, he earned the nickname "The Devil of Ramadi". In this location, he killed a woman who was holding a baby in her hands, while planning to launch explosives against a group of Marines. He later reportedly said that that woman was already dead, and that he only prevented her from taking the Marines along with her.

The American sniper has 160 confirmed kills, out of a probable 255. He is considered the greatest sniper the United States has ever had.

In the year 2013, a war veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder killed him, while Chris Kyle was assisting in his treatment.

On February 12, 2013, his funeral procession traveled 200 miles, and was followed by hundreds of people to the city of Austin, where he was buried.

The book that gave birth to the movie "American Sniper" tells his story. If you like our content, subscribe to our channel!

What he did was respected but every single soldier that signed that paper and served deserves the same respect doesn't matter if your portrayed in a movie or not!

He was good, but nothing compared to Carlos Hathcock. Sitting in a house or rooftop with rear security, shooting much better weapons versus going alone into the jungles of Vietnam, low crawling 100s of yards surrounded by venomous snakes and spiders, behind enemy lines, to take out a NVA commander, with a hunting rifle. Carlos is the GOAT of snipers and is the father of the USMC scout snipers school. They may have made a movie about Kyle, but they didn't stand up a sniper program because of him. Respect those who paved the way for others. Regardless, RIP to a great American hero.

My dad would tell me about the white feather as an avid dear hunter and woodsman. I loved hearing about him; it really gave me pride in my country and military

different times, different situations. Terrorists ain't legitimate army, they were rats in the sewers. Vietnam and WW2 are very different scenarios. Hard to say which is better since they're from different eras. It's mostly definite that Chris was nothing less than those two mentioned in the comments.
