Florida home insurance rates have increased in the past year and many home owners are left without a viable option to buy home insurance at a good rate. In this video I will go over your options and the best home insurance in Florida after the rate increase.

If you are a homeowner and need to find a better deal on home insurance, you need to check first with the best home insurance in Florida and then compare it with other companies like mentioned in the video.

IMPORTANT: In this video I reference Citizen's being similar to a policy in Michigan. The names are similar and I mistakenly connected them in my talk but, they are not the same. Citizens Property Insurance Corporation in Florida is what I am referencing per the article mentioned.

This video didn't help me at all. Most of the companies mentioned don't offer insurance in Florida.

Travelers does NOT insure Florida! Working for Travelers we get employee rates but since we are moving to a state where home insurance is NOT available we are researching who offers it at a comparable rate.

Please check your information before putting out wrong information.

Try a 100% increase for 2022. This is central FL. It’s a nightmare and can’t find anything cheaper than what I have. There are triple increases for coastal areas as high as $9, 000. Totally out of control.

I don't think any of those big-box insurance companies cover coastal areas... well State Farm will, at a quote if around $5000.00 a year, and the policy coverage is fairly ambiguous to the point of useless.

If these states are going to promote development and charge property tax in these areas, they need to come up with a public insurance program in conjunction with the federal government which is solvent, effective, and affordable... like with flood insurance. Yeah, I know, I'm asking for a lot there... but sheesh.

Most of these companies you mention are not writing in Florida. Geico is brokerage. They are clueless thankfully too. Travelers is not writing here in Florida. Chubb is crazy high. State Farm writes on separate paper so if the market has a huge hurricane, they can was their hands.
