Insurance prices in FL skyrocketed. Our house is 2500 Sq feet and this year it is close to 5K to insure it. And then if you do have a valid claim, they will fight you tooth and nail to not pay. Many people pay the houses off and cancel the insurance because it is insanely expensive.

I am so surprised to see so many people paying cash to the insurance company in return for nothing, why can we get a bond and self insurance for our houses
