Jon Stewart, comedian and activist, expresses his fury and frustration with Senate Republicans who blocked the bipartisan Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act, or PACT Act, which would have expanded VA health care eligibility to more than 3.5 million post-9/11 combat veterans who were exposed to burn pit toxins while serving.

All Republicans do is stand in America's way

If only these same people who were so OUTRAGED and infuriated about people kneeling during the national anthem had the same level of frustration with this decision which ACTUALLY does disrespect our vets. And that’s coming from a current active duty Sailor.

“They haven’t met a war they won’t sign up for, and they haven’t met a veteran they won’t screw over” accurate statement about the GOP

Jon Stewart is spot on. Republicans voting against Vets for political payback is cruel, inhumane and disgusting. Make them pay for it at the Ballot box.

I wish we had politicians as passionate, intelligent, and caring as Jon Stewart.

Jon Stewart is a national treasure. This was a fantastic interview. He was so on point here about these senators and their betrayals

I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran. They promised to take care of us when we returned home. I live on a tiny pension and recently the government changed their rules and promises and charge us a copay for the medical services they promised was to be provided to us at no cost.

Thank you Jon Stewart and Mehdi Hasan for covering this.
The cruelty of the Republican party, especially those in the Senate, is beyond belief.

Newsweek just posted a picture of the GOP Senators fist bumping after voting NO on the Veteran's Bill. Vote them and their good ole boy's club out of office.

The bigger problem is that the US doesn't have universal healthcare. So vets who suffer unusual medical problems caused by military service have to beg for help.

It's been said on many occasions, but it still rings true about the GOP: "The cruelty is the point!"

All the jerks that fistbumped on the floor in glee should be made to apologize in person to the families they dishonored...AFTER they reverse their vote. Shame on all of them.

Excellent clearification from John Stewart. Both parties are extreme to their far lefts and rights. As an independent, totally believe our veterans & elderly have earned every benefit possible for their service. But are usually overlooked and unappreciated. Take care of our veterans and their families!!! Screw politics! I still hate MSNBC for making everything racial or politically one sided. Watch Shepard Smith on CNBC for my news & info, Gutfeld for info & laughs. Just my personal feelings. Bless you all.

Listen well: 'Shame' is the only language Senators speak.
