Sorry but I have to disagree!!
These are not suitable for mains connections in any scenario.
These are for 12v/24v lorry, car, boat etc
It’s not worth an electrician’s livelihood to use an inferior product like these.
To be fair I can’t really see why you’re promoting these on a “builders” platform?
DIY’ers watch this channel for sure and could be mislead into extending their extension lead to run the hot tub.
🤷🏼‍♂️ extreme example I know but absolutely possible!!

I have use something similar made by RAYCHEM Sealing Sleeves | TE Connectivity used in the Defense & Military Aircraft.

Hi, we had them about 10 years ago in the motor trade

They’ve been around many years
Big Clive highlighted them a long time ago.
SMA over in the USA uses them on his car repairs.
I’m not sure I’d use them on house mains, but people better qualified than me can possibly sway me.

I hope nobody uses these without adding another layer of heat shrink around them, often they don't truly insulate as the solder melts the shrink and cause shorting, could cause a fire or, with high voltage... death.

As far as I'm aware these do not have a BS number to confirm they are safe to use in the UK ?

Utterly under no circumstances use these with mains voltage or in any other critical applications. Reason being if there is a short circuit and the wire heats up the solder can melt leaving a live bare end wire. Low voltage low current applications only. Boiler control wiring, Bell wire or other control type application OK.

They would be fine for extra low voltage wiring. 24v 12v .

sorry roger but this is not the sort of content we want. this is just an ad for a random product . we (cant speak for others but i ) would rather you test them out, do a pull test, a conductivity test, see how safe they are, how see how they perform in the real world and what happens if your abit careless heating them. then the product sells its self

I do love these for automotive, but no chance would I use them anywhere near mains voltage.

As long as these are rated up to 500V, they look good.
