I’m forever grateful that I saw The Sixth Sense in the theater, and that the twist wasn’t ruined for me.

The Sixth Sense is such a classic example, and catches us off guard on the first viewing. You'll notice that Malcolm is never seen talking to anyone else, bar Cole. Although the scene in the apartment opens with Cole's mum and Malcolm sitting down, we presume that they've been talking, when really, she's just waiting for her son to get home from school. Same with the Doctor's office scene.

I can't remember where I heard it, but I love the joke about how we all watched The Sixth Sense and didn't question that this man's wife just ignored him for like an entire year lol

I like Shoeless Joe in Field of Dreams, he's self aware that he's dead and makes some funny remarks about it. Plus Ray Liotta was a legend.

Carnival of souls is such an amazing film. Think it's one everybody needs to see. Think it was the first film to do the dead-all-along twist ending. It's seriously underrated.

Middle school the worst year of my life is a good example. His brother was dead the whole time.

I saw Jacob's Ladder in the theatre when it came out in 1990. I was 22. I loved it because it was one of those rare films that was unlike anything I'd seen before and it also deeply disturbed me. I have not watched it since although I think Tim Robbins is an incredible actor and I've seen most of his other movies multiple times. I'm thinking it may be time to watch it again.

The twist in Last Christmas killed the movie for me. Up until that twist I was genuinely enjoying the movie but that twist ruined everything for me and I haven’t rewatched it since.

Maybe I’m splitting hairs, but I though in Source Code, he was on life support and not actually dead - I thought there were even plot points about letting him die…

No David Aamea(Tom Cruise) from Vanilla Sky??

lol I expected more from you guys and his character being dead and realizing it at the end rivals even The Sixth Sense for a twist

In the movie Meance to Society, if you pay attention, the main character Cain is a dead man telling his story.

I guess the problem I had with The Others is I saw the twist coming and it spoiled the whole thing for me. I saw The Sixth Sense opening night, so that one was safe. But The Others telegraphed that ending in my opinion.

An extremely underrated Psychological thriller called 'A Pure Formality' starring Gerard Depardieu and Roman Polanski deserves a spot on this list.

This is more of a theory than fact but Po from Kung Fu Panda was supposedly dead the whole time. Remember when he blew himself up with fireworks? Then fell dozens of feet? And then when he ‘regained consciousness’ his burns & broken bones were magically healed?

According to TV Tropes this list would be an example of "Dead All Along."

Cody from "Monstrous (2022)". It starred Christina Ricci. It was an ingenious movie about letting go.

I adore your content!! Keep up the amazing work and have a great day!!!

You should also do a video of ones that aren’t really dead, I can think of two right now!
