I visited Sri lanka during New Year and was totally surprised to see the beauty of this country. The mesmerizing coast line, rich Flora and fauna and cultural artefacts. The best part was the amazing Weligama beach where I tried surfing for the first time and Whale watching tour where we were lucky to see 3 blue whales. Cafes in Mirissa are also a really great place to chill.

I think Sri lanka was one of my best memories of travel out of 26 countries I have visited.

My wife and I have visted SL twice. Don't forget to visit the beautiful of Jaffna in the North. The 6 hours trainride from Colombo makes this visit even more special. Jaffna offers lots of good restaurants and there are many old and nicely coloured temples to visit.
