About This Video:
Dr. Neal Guymon explains why Lumify is the best drop for red eyes. Lumify will selectivly target the veins of the eyes, which reduces the changes of getting rebound redness, like the other red eye drops do. Dr. EyeGuy will test to see if it will work in 1 minute, like it says on the box. Lumify is an eye drop made by Bausch and Lomb, and is a reduced concentration of a glaucoma medication called Brimonidine. I highly recommend Lumify if you need to clear your eyes and make them brighter and whiter. Just make sure that you go in and see your eye doctor to treat the core issue of your red eyes.

Good morning Doc, Unfortunately in Europe (I am in Italy) this eye drops cannot be found . Only on Amazon and web, but at very high prices. I can find in the pharmacy only the Brimonidine tartrate version for eye pressure problems at 0.2% in a bottle of 5ml. To dilute like Lumify can I mix it with a 0.5 vial of saline solution? I have explain to my doctor and I have possibility to have prescriction ( for version 0, 2 in pharmacy ). Naturally I've tried one time Lumify ( bought on web) and I 've found exellent for my problem about redness ( I suffer of dry eye and It could help me when i'have red eyes...naturally with lubrifiant eye drops like systane or other like that ).... Thank you

Dear Dr, how do you detect the inflammation, dyes or MMP-9 or both? Seems MMP-9 is more reliable than the dyes, especially most drs do not wait for 2min. Thank you.

After using lumify other drops don't get the red out anymore. Is this common?

I’ve been using it about 5 times a week, once a day for about a year and a half, because of allergies and lack of sleep. It works great however, I’ve stopped using it because my eyes have been drier and irritated. This is a side effect for some people.
